Notes from my talk on negotiation yesterday. one of my motivation for volunteering to speak about this stuff is that what people receive from your talk often tells you the parts you don't understand very well. I read these notes and anirudh has done an amazing job of capturing the whole talk but I realise how I sometimes use a few words incorrectly and how I am actually wrong about a few things when I talk about them even if I understand them differently in my own head.
But the most important bit : 40+ people in a room talking back and forth over a very human centric topic. Talking to humans >>>> talking to LLMs :-)

Rejection is a redirection.
No, that’s only for the top 1% folks. A rejection is a rejection, it should be taken personally most of the times, and it means you’re not capable enough so please work harder, get better and then come back.

to be honset this is natural and I have been advocating fot this. The first reaction to agentic access will be price discrimination. This will weed out the loosely committed as they will move on to other platform. Most will just pay.
Coming to consumer soon. Fewer alternatives there. Your agent will almost always pay more for something than you will. As it should. If you are using an agent to do something, it is a signal that you value your time and productivity highly.
So almost every pre-AI B2B product we use has told us they are raising prices for agent access.
Salesforce and HubSpot are two of the latest, albeit differently (the price increases at HubSpot seem to be mainly for their own agents, while Saleforce is increasing prices for third party agents). But it’s not just them. Another niche CRM we’ve used for 5+ years just told us we have to pay extra for agent use of API. Another niche product we use just deprecated the API we were using for 10K.
Maybe the only apps not doing this … are the ones that started agentic.
What I worry is the vendors aren’t thinking this through.
The immediate reaction of our agents to agentic price increases is … How Can We Work Around Them.
Not cheat. But literally to move data off all these platforms so there is no API tax for the agents to use them.
And the humans naturally will want to stop having their agents use apps that raise steep prices to use them.
So I do worry these vendors are inadvertently creating an agentic death spiral. Usage will drop, new agents will move off the platforms as much as practical, and these API tools will lead to less usage, less stickiness, and … less of a moat.

But if this very tool for bettering their lives, their RIGHT TO VOTE and FREE & FAIR ELECTION is stolen from them, then where will people go?
Today, the entire young generation is demanding for change in our system. But the tool they must use: THE RIGHT TO VOTE FOR CHANGE has been stolen.
Gyanesh Kumar's conduct is manifestly illegal and deserves condemnation from the entire country. He has worked in a manner that will benefit only and only one single political party. And that party today is the BJP. It is fraud committed on the citizens of this country and Gyanesh Kumar must be hauled up in the prison for treason. Gyanesh Kumar is the original anti-national. And his time is up. Every person that ordered Gyanesh Kumar to steal our elections, every officer that helped Gyanesh steal elections, and every beneficiary of such theft will have to be jailed.
They may flee the country but we must ensure that they are brought to justice even from the depths of hell.

I just wanted to add one more thing, all that @abidsensibull saar and @bebhuvan have shared is absolutely valid, including the "Ghanta ginta" indicator he spoke about.
I just wanted to add one bit, all of this knowledge/must do's - is great as a baseline, but life is not linear.
You may know all of this and still end up in a shitty situation, not because you didn't know the rules, but because you don't live life in isolation.
If you are young, do factor that in ie the interconnected ness of our lives - but that doesn't mean you consciously screw up things.
And a bit of contradictory advise as well, its okay to live a bit dangerously, as JK Rowling said -
"It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all—in which case, you fail by default."
