Just stopped into my office to find some golf shoes at 9:30pm and there is a massive 12” vape being printed on the 3D Printer?? Some genius who works for me just fired this up and said nothing????

All Google has to do is make Gemini decent and put it in a forced left sidebar of Chrome by default and the landscape would change overnight

Am I the only one who finally cancelled their Claude Max sub and 48 hrs later wants to turn it back on to try Opus 5.5?

I've sent my dev ~9 referrals since posting this. We can all vibe code now.... that doesn't mean everyone wants to. We're in a bubble here. Real people want to run their business (or sit on a beach) not build their own tools in Codex.
I just laid off the dev I've been working with for the last 10 yrs cuz I can do all this myself now. It sucks. He's in India, I've video chatted with him all of 2 times, and he's been on cruise control for a while - but it's still a huge change for him and I've been to war with dude. Bro spent years waking up to my frantics texts if things crashed etc. It's a good reminder that all the losers on here bragging about replacing their teams with AI are either larping or soul-less. I'm keeping him on a small retainer for support on critical projects. If anyone needs a real deal AI enabled full stack dev that'll run through walls if you need him to lmk, he's great.

Lots of the accounting I've *automated with AI* is actually just: - parse and extract transaction details - match to correct vendor in system - map vendor bill items to my own invoice items - stage this for review This is basically what OCR was always supposed to be but it adapts it to the way my system works. AI creates nothing. It stages the transaction and a secondary API call gives it a confidence level on the vendor match and then a confidence level on each item mapping too. "Oh look it screwed up right there its got a rate of $0" I thought so too, but no, the vendor comped 2 units on this bill. its dialed. There's not that much "AI" happening here but hyper specific UI/UX for my use case that I built with AI+ some confidence ratings means I can review a mountain of shit in 3 minutes with a few clicks.

Just saw a crack head in a tech kilt with a golf club and a bucket hat and realized maybe it’s not a crack head maybe it’s just fashion

Astra seems to default to using browser on tools that it has CLI installed for way more than any other model I've used. I haven't had Terra or Sol or Opus or Fable jump into my browser on these project and Astra will frequently start there before I clarify/remind it. Skill issue surely lol

Oregon State Legend Jensen Huang
🚨BREAKING: Jensen Huang just EXPOSED Dario and Altman’s "Rogue AI" grift to avoid getting sued into oblivion under EXISTING law β€œDon't let this doomsday narrative cause somebody to relieve them of the laws that currently exist. Go and read between the lines. They're actually not asking for more laws; they're asking to be relieved of the laws we do have.” ABSOLUTE TRUTH NUKE

This is a stupid simple insight but it's interesting that the most clicked page in the nav is "Formats" I would have guessed Hooks by a mile but I think this is good to see. Kinda love to see less people searching for quick wins (hook) and more diving in and studying formats that they're looking at. Hooks and trends will always come and go but the ability to storytell across multiple formats (and platforms) will be valuable forever Site btw: videodatabase.io/

Most accountants will tell you AI makes mistakes and this is dangerous for your books. Most accountants also have Androids, use Outlook, are skeptical, hate change, and move excruciatingly slow. Most accountants I've had involved in this business I mention, including the pubco PE folks who almost bought us and the pubco we merged with... DID NOT WANT TO DO THE WORK REQUIRED FOR REAL MANUFACTURING ACCOUNTING. They thought it was complicated and not worth it. They'd rather just journal it out at the end of the month and keep it moving. That'll pass audit with some spreadsheets to back it up because auditors are just accountants too. So, when your accountant says AI is bad for accounting you should remember that they're a bean counter and obviously clueless on teh topic. I'm not an AI expert, but I know LLM's orchestrating python scripts for data analysis is like textbook use case of AI. its how they're gonna cure cancer. There is a huge difference between asking a chatbot to your accounting and and using deterministic workflows, simple reasoning, pattern matching, and *finally good* OCR to make accounting a breeze. I'm going to make more (probably pretty boring) content on this topic because it is an absolute game changer and pretty easy if you think about it right and... Almost no accountant will ever do either of those things.
Since I fired my bookkeeper I had 3 chronically unbalanced accounts on the books for STICKS and last night I let Astra loose on all of them and they're all perfect now what a world we're living in man. blessed.

This app is 12MB. Photoshop is 6.4GB lol
I built a Photoshop-like image editor. It’s called Compositor. robbietilton.com/compositor I originally built it for myself to get off my Adobe subscription, but decided to release it for free and make it open source. It has all the essential tools I need for compositing, with none of the BS. I know this workflow is kind of archaic in 2026, but I’m still using it until AI can actually get pixel-perfect on some of the details. The entire app is 12MB. Photoshop is 6,455MB on my machine.
