🚨 RAF FAIRFORD. FIVE MEN. THREE VANS. SUSPECTED EXPLOSIVES. Five men are in custody on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act after three suspicious vans were spotted near RAF Fairford. Around 85 homes were evacuated. A 400 metre cordon was put in place and bomb disposal teams were brought in. And now Donald Trump has said something that raises an even bigger question. He says the suspects had been under investigation and under surveillance for a long time. So let me ask what I think a lot of people will be asking: If our intelligence agencies already knew these people were a potential threat, WHY were they here? If someone is considered enough of a threat that intelligence agencies need to monitor them, surely we need to ask why that person is being allowed to remain in the country in the first place. I’m not saying these five men have been proven guilty. They haven’t. I’m not saying we know their nationalities, immigration status or exactly what they were planning. We don’t. But if the claims about prior surveillance are correct, then the public deserves answers. Who knew about them? How long had they been watched? Why were they allowed to remain here? What information did our agencies have? And most importantly… WHAT DID THEY KNOW, AND WHEN DID THEY KNOW IT? Because we are constantly told that our intelligence services are keeping us safe. So if these men really were being watched for a considerable period of time, how did they get to the point where three vans allegedly containing suspected explosives were travelling towards a sensitive military base? And then there’s the question that will inevitably follow: Will we ever actually be told the whole truth? Because an official statement isn’t necessarily the same thing as the whole story. I don’t want speculation. I don’t want rumours. I want facts. If there was a threat, tell the British public what happened. If mistakes were made, tell us. And if our security services knew these people posed a serious threat, explain why they were still here. Because protecting this country should come before protecting anyone’s reputation.

Sounds brilliant until you realise that 20% isn't based on what the government originally put in. If they put £40k into a £200k house and you eventually sell it for £250k, their 20% is £50k. You pay the mortgage interest. You pay the bills. You maintain the house. You take the risk. And the government still owns 20% of the future value. Another way for the government to take even more of your money while you're spending decades in debt and calling it "help"
