My reading of non observed is the informal economy. And I think it's about time we see these numbers. India, for instance, counts their equivalent of car guards, the ladies selling fruit, veggies and vetkoekat the taxi rank as employed. Our problem is that we benchmark ourselves against the best economies and look worse than we actually in reality. Other countries, like India, make no attempt to pretend they are Denmark and do their reporting according on
Unemployment, gdp and everything in between. It's about time we do the same. In short, not corruption per se.
South Africa is so corrupt that they have now decided to include illegal activities into the GDP. Have I got that right?
The non-observed economy. 🤯
