Sometimes I feel childish for dodging these things but I don’t think people appreciate that if a call isn’t part of my most important thing it’s incredibly EV negative in most cases

I never really got this. Same as when people say after 3 zoom calls they’re “done for the day” Do we all really need perfect circumstances to perform? How does 1 call or 3 hours of zoom ruin the other 5-8 hours of the day?

I don't do calls because in my experience people who like to do calls do them because they are good at calls and have an advantage in persuasion during them.

Untrue. Destroys the whole week until I find a way to unschedule it 😂

I have to do sales calls for my business. But you can use Calendly to stack them in a specific couple of afternoons.

I think this is actually a defense mechanism around forgetting about it and then totally blowing it off. I think if the person had confidence in an alarm system that they knew would alert them when they were trying to leave they could use the time before more productively

I just fired a client for scheduling me on these ridiculous recurring 12 people, 1-2 hour meetings in the middle of the day and expecting me to show up

If you don’t like calls then don’t do them, but if a scheduled call can destroy your day then you should fix it.
