In 1772, the colonists had no right to trees over 12" thick, not even if it was in their front yard.
A law reserved every white pine that size for the Royal Navy's masts. Surveyors roamed New Hampshire slashing a mark into the trees, claiming them for the King of England.
The mill owners of Weare ignored the law and cut the trees they wanted to. So the sheriff rode out to arrest them and collect the fines.
The Weare men blackened their faces and went after the sheriff in what is now called the Pine Tree Riot. They gave him a lash for every tree he'd charged them for. Then they cropped the ears and tails off his horses and sent him riding out of town through a jeering crowd.
Before the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre, a New Hampshire town defied the Crown.
And the pine tree symbol remained. When Washington needed a flag for his first warships in 1775, he put a New England pine on it, over the words "An Appeal to Heaven."
This turned something that the King used to tyrannize the colonists to support his Navy, into a symbol of a country defying him on their own Navy.

In something of a reversal, the older I get, the more I ‘m open to thinking that there are gender roles and that much of what is attributed to ‘social conditioning’ and ‘social constructs’ is actually just the design of the species, and more hardwired into the basic design than permitted to acknowledge - even as, at some level, everyone knows it save the indoctrinated.
In that, to accept gender as a replacement for sex is to enter the circle, and to accept ‘gender less’ as the precondition on which such discussions are platformed is a lie - and an obvious one at that. While it’s positioned along feminist lines as an attack on the masculine, its longer term more permanent downstream effects will be the savaging of the feminine. (Men on women’s sports teams as a leading edge.)
Along Aristotelian lines, the herd knows what it knows, and it doesn’t have to justify itself based on contrived rational arguments. The new alpha male lion doesn't have to explain why it kills the cubs of the old alpha, it just does.
From a political warfare POV, for example, recognizing the pure dialectical play that demands the ‘negation of the negation’, was the “Me Too” LOO about ‘empowering’ women or is it transitioning feminism from antithesis to thesis in preparation to negate it?
If the stated objective of feminism is the destruction of the family, and it is, doesn’t it become increasingly obvious that “Me Too’, SEL (Social Emotional Learning), ‘Ethical Non-Monogamy’ (aka ‘Open Marriage’), ‘Evolved Relationships’, and other associated Intersectional LOAs (all intensely Becoming) simply set the conditions for the masculine, at the collective herd level of involuntary thought, to just walk away from committed relationships because the collective feminine, agency deprived under the control of feminist active measures, make such relationships genuinely not worth pursuing? (Why are nightclubs closing?)
Stated more classically, has the intersectional feminist LOE been so successful at pushing the feminine into the domain of Becoming, that like Eve, they can never be satisfied even when what they have is pretty good (Eve in Paradise), that the collective masculine in Being simply, but genuinely, lose interest and just walk away?
Wouldn’t this be the culminating success of the feminist objective: the destruction of the family. But if true, and from a political warfare POV, it's a giant red star cluster, wouldn't that make the MGTOW, Manosphere etc an extension of the the Feminist active measure that reflects the beginning of the negation of the negation?
If there is anything to this, why would men in Being engage in pointless arguments with women trapped in a circle of Becoming, and therefore out of reach, when they can just sit back and watch it play out, like it already is?
To fight women in Becoming demands one enter the circle of Becoming. But if grounded in Being, why do that?

You’re asking the wrong person. It seems I stand up for what I believe is deeply good and what is misperceived as evil all day, every day. This has stupidly become close to my whole life at times. I’m so bored by how silent everyone is. I can’t fathom it. “Managed Reality” has turned evil.
Something is pushing pure evil, disguised as “good” down our throats 24/7 via the institutions. And almost everyone puts up with it. I do not.

I went to work for Peter in 2013 with opposite politics.
He sat me down right at the beginning.

The Protoevangelium of James, ~145 AD, spoke of Mary's perpetual virginity. Yeah. Not medieval at all. From the beginning.
The entire Ancient Church - 100% - was in accord on the perpetual virginity of Mary. It didn't even occur in the Reformation era. The delta didn't occur until very recent strands of ahistorical American Protestantism, itself a decided minority view in Protestantism, felt a need to run down Mary to satisfy a pathological dislike of the Church. It's a form of dialectical negation. Just call something Catholic and watch that strand negate it until it's all been negated.
Eastern Rite, Coptic, and Orthodox all hold to the perpetual virginity of Mary. Hence, this view reflects a complete break from the Christian standard dating back to the very beginning. But hey, you be you.
So, rather than state the Catholic view, how about the Greek Orthodox position (which is identical to the Catholic)? Remember, the language of Greek Orthodoxy is the original Koine Greek. So, you be you and challenge them on their home turf. So, what do the Orthodox say:
The Greek Orthodox Church teaches that the Greek word heos (ἕως, translated as "until" or "till" in Matthew 1:25) does not mean Mary's virginity ended after Christ's birth, but rather confirms she remained an Ever-Virgin [Αειπαρθενος (Aeiparthenos)] throughout her life.
The Meaning of "Until" (Heos) in Scripture
Ancient usage vs. English: In modern English, "until" often implies a change in state after a certain point. However, in biblical Greek, heos describes what did or did not happen up to a specific event without dictating any change afterward.
Scriptural parallels: The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and Orthodox theologians point to other biblical passages using heos in the exact same way:

Today I learned that the “Effective Altruism” movement has recreated taqiyya from first principles.
Baked into the Effective Altruist cake is not only the willingness to lie, but given their beliefs about the risk of human extinction, they are morally *required* to lie if lying helped them achieve their goals.
