Experts & journalists play an important role in society - but this crisis has highlighted the lack of accountability & transparency across the board. My post is largely an ode to Twitter and what I've learned from it. You can read the full post here: liora.substack.com/p/how-cit…

4 users, 4 languages, 1 seamless thread. X is pretty amazing.
Well, yes, alcohol is also completely normal in Poland, but sometimes those who start young end up finishing young. A few of my friends have already checked out to the other side because of alcohol. One of them even died on his 18th birthday.

one of the best running bits of the last 30 or so years is that ben affleck is actually really smart
Ben Affleck (Hollywood star & Artists Equity CEO) talks about how he fine-tunes open video models by unfreezing weights and trained only the last cinematic layer so a film crew can hit real production standards. for context, Ben Affleck founded InterPositive in 2022, a 16-person AI shop for film post and Netflix bought it in March 2026 for $587 mn in cash. He needed that model because public video models were trained on his peers' films, and he did not think that was a real business. So InterPositive raised money, shot its own dataset for 8 months on a controlled stage, and used it only as late-stage training. Each new film then trains a private model on its own dailies, so the production keeps the footage and the learning. That is the product Netflix paid $587 million for. ---- From "Bloomberg Live" YouTube channel, (link in comment)

It’s really crazy to see every innocuous post be about… Jews.
The level of casual brain rot and mental illness on this app every day is crazy

Brain rot disguised as “genius.” Hating Israel so much it motivates you to complete your to-do list

I have one hijabi friend I work with who is Palestinian. Yesterday she was asking me about the Jewish holidays and I explained to her about Sukkot, our harvest festival of ancient Israel. She was so interested, so affirming. She said a rabbi had invited her to a Sukkot meal, and she was looking forward to experiencing the ritual. It’s respectful interactions like that which give me hope. I’m so tired of the hate. 🕊️

Yeah, I had previously only known many other Jews like me who lost almost all their friends, because we wanted the hostages free and we supported Israel, as we thought. But it was as we suspected. Deep down, it's because we are Jewish. And the masks had come off and it was part of the Dem cult to demonize Jews, to be popular, better for their careers.

There’s the pentagon pizza tracker but on Shabbat we also can judge if shit’s going down based on who shows up to our shul. Judging by that metric, shit’s going down.

Full credit to @harrybrundage for coining the term Slop Grenade. Let’s make it a thing.
Lazy work used to mean too little output. Now, with AI, it often means too much and more work for everyone else. @tobi call it "slop grenades." A "Slop Grenade" is when you let AI produce the work and pass it on without adding any value (including checking it). Someone else has to wade through it, catch the mistakes, and clean up the mess. You save time and look productive but someone else pays for it.

My son had six weeks to pass a math assessment that he failed. We used AI to do it. AI has the ability to revolutionize education and homeschooling. Maybe that's why Democrats want to ban it in school districts.
