Good work deserves to get found. Websites, local SEO & marketing for contractors and service businesses. Your local marketing crew.

Your cost per lead doesn't matter. This number does. Take your average profit per job. Multiply it by your close rate. That's the most you can pay for one estimate request. Example: $4,000 profit x 25% close rate = $1,000. Ads cost me $150 an estimate? I'm fine. A lead source charges $500 and closes 5%? I'm losing money, even though it "works." I run a contracting business too. I did this math before I ever bought a lead. What's your average profit per job, and how many estimates does it take to land one?

Nobody typed "reviews." ChatGPT searched for it anyway. An SEO agency in Austin asked ChatGPT, "Who is the best HVAC company in Austin, TX?" The search ChatGPT actually ran: "best HVAC companies Austin TX reviews licensed AC repair" The homeowner never sees that search.

I’ve been on both sides of the lead. I’ve installed the work, estimated jobs, helped manage operations, handled billing, and now I build the marketing. That experience made me skeptical of reports that stop at calls and form submissions. A lead can look great in a dashboard and still be completely wrong for the business. Wrong service. Wrong location. Not enough margin. No room in the schedule. I want to know whether it became an estimate, whether it sold, and whether it was work the business actually wanted. I’d rather generate fewer qualified opportunities than fill an owner’s inbox with leads they can’t use.

Your life can look completely different six months from now if you actually buckle down and focus. Mine does. I went from 0 clients to 9. By month two, Brandloc was growing so fast I had to stop marketing my own agency just to keep up with client work. Six months. That’s it.

Fastest local win most contractors skip: Google Business Profile done right. Categories. Service area. Real job photos. Reviews that actually arrive. No profile = no map pack. No map pack = you’re hoping for referrals forever.

Idk how I feel with letting ChatGPT have access to my financials. Seeing post about 5.6 clearing databases and deleting customer. Next thing you know your money in the bank is gone.

I’ve been building an AI operating system for my agency. Getting the agents to do work wasn’t the hard part. Knowing when they should stop was. They can research, write, build, and test without me. They can’t message a client, publish anything, deploy, or touch the CRM unless I approve it. That line has mattered more than any model upgrade. Use it with a screenshot or short recording of Mission Control.
47
A practical AI workflow for service businesses starts before you even leave the customer’s driveway. After an estimate or site visit, record a 60-second voice note while the details are still fresh. Mention what the customer needs, measurements, concerns, questions you still need answered, materials discussed, pricing notes and when you promised to follow up. AI can turn that rough voice note into: • Organized job notes • A list of unanswered questions • Tasks for you or your crew • A follow-up checklist • A clean customer recap • A draft estimate description You still review everything and make the decisions. AI just turns the information already in your head into something organized and usable. For most service businesses, that’s where AI becomes valuable: fewer forgotten details, faster follow-up and less paperwork waiting for you at the end of the day.

One month of the right system for a service brand: More impressions. More clicks. Real jobs on the calendar. I don't sell "content calendars." I sell a path from search → call → booked work.

Secured my first SaaS client this week after 3 months of building. The feeling never gets old. The very first sale, client, subscriber. If you're on the fence about starting a business that generates monthly recurring revenue, My advice is to just start. I have failed so many times you wouldn't believe. But every failure has taught me valuable lessons that apply to my current business. Take this as your sign to get off X and put pencil to paper. What are you building? I'd love to check it out and support you.

Crypto is bleeding 🩸 I’d still like to see $BTC drop to the $69,000 range, for a heathy pullback. Looks to be forming a head and shoulders. Over the past year.

Day 1 of the $100k MRR journey 🚀 Starting from straight $0 today. Currently hitting up friends to validate the idea and running through the problem. Showing rough sketches, asking the brutal questions: “Would you actually pay for this?” “How much?” “What sucks about the current options?” Some early signals already coming in hot, some polite “meh”s that sting but are gold. First commit is pushed, basic repo structure set up. No fancy landing page yet, just raw notes and a Notion board. This thing either dies quick or starts printing. No in-between. If you’re building too or just wanna watch the train wreck / rocket launch, stick around. I’m posting the good, bad, and ugly every step. Who else is grinding something right now? Drop what you’re working on 👇

Futures still leaning red but off lows: Dow -0.11%, S&P -0.18%, Nasdaq -0.30%. Volatility’s up with VIX +0.48%. Quick recap on tonight’s drivers: 1. Fed Independence Fears: DOJ’s subpoena on Chair Powell sparked a criminal probe, rattling markets over potential political meddling in rates. Powell called it “intimidation,” fueling early selling. 2. Trump’s Credit Card Rate Cap Push: Proposal for a 10% temp cap slams banks and issuers ($JPM, $V, etc.), squeezing profits ahead of earnings season. 3. Geopolitics & Safe-Haven Flows: Iran unrest plus tougher U.S. stance boost gold to records (+2%), adding caution before CPI/PPI data tomorrow. Early panic faded, but watch for more swings with inflation reads and bank reports incoming. Markets pricing in drama, not doom—yet.

The stock market does not like uncertainty. With the possibility of going to war with Iran and forcibly taking Greenland, futures are down. I expect a red day tomorrow until we get more news and clarity. $spy

BREAKING: U.S. Military Activity Spikes Near Iran 🇺🇸⚡🇮🇷 In the last few hours, multiple KC-135R aerial refueling tankers and B-52 heavy bombers have taken off from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar (the biggest U.S. base in the region). U.S. drones are also spotted operating close to Iranian airspace right now. This comes as tensions stay sky-high with ongoing massive protests in Iran, deadly crackdowns, and warnings from Iranian leaders about targeting U.S. forces if things escalate. These moves tankers for extended flights + bombers for heavy strike power + drones for recon, scream serious readiness and surveillance. Could be signaling, deterrence, or prep for something bigger amid the unrest. Watching this closely — regional vibes are intense. Stay tuned.

Weekends are gold for leveling up your business without the weekday chaos. Here’s 5 quick, doable tips you can knock out right now, blended with that faith fuel. No fluff, just action. 1. Audit Your Tools: Spend 30 mins reviewing your apps. Swap one outdated tool for a free AI like ChatGPT to automate emails or ideas. Smarter work = bigger wins. 2. Reach Out Real: Message 3 potential clients or partners with a genuine compliment + one value add (e.g., “Loved your post – here’s a tip that helped me”). Builds trust fast. 3. Customer Check-In: Call or DM one current customer: “How’s it going? Any tweaks needed?” Listen, adjust – happy clients refer more. 4. Content Quickie: Create one short post or video sharing a biz lesson you’ve learned. Post it here on X – consistency grows your audience. 5. Faith Anchor: End with 10 mins in prayer or Scripture: “Work at it with all your heart, as for the Lord” (Col 3:23). Refocuses your why. From my experience, these small steps turned my side gig into full-time freedom. Pick one and go, what’s yours? Drop below!

Your blessings aren’t random. They’re strategic assignments from a God who knew exactly what He was giving you, who He was giving you to, and what He’s calling you to build with it. Stewardship isn’t gratitude alone—it’s execution.

Your talents aren’t accidents. They’re assignments. That skill you’ve been sharpening? God didn’t give it to you so you could impress people. He gave it to you so you could bless them. Stewardship > Selfishness Your gift is the bridge between God’s provision and someone else’s breakthrough. Use it or lose it.
60
Most men chase metrics that don’t matter at judgment day. Real winning: • A praying wife who sharpens you • Kids who see Christ in your character, not just your words • Work that builds His kingdom, not your ego • Discipline that outlasts motivation The world celebrates arrival. God measures faithfulness in the valley. You’re not winning because you built something big. You’re winning because you stewarded well

God didn’t give you the vision to watch someone else build it. Family, I need you to really sit with that for a second. That business idea that won’t leave you alone? That’s not random. That pull you feel toward building something that serves people and creates impact? That’s your assignment calling.
