@ambrosiaenergy just hit 2 MW of solar at our pilot plant. We broke ground Jan 4, completed the first 1 MW on Aug 17, and 2 MW on Sept 24.
Each solar panel we install with our ground mechanism now takes under 10 person-minutes to install, compared to the industry standard of ~120 person-minutes.[1] Our install time includes all amortized land clearing, road install, wiring, racking, and anchoring.
Everything we do is built in a factory, rolled out to the field, and snapped together.
Our innovative battery storage design also enables 24+ hour storage. That means we can deliver power to customers at 99% to 99.9% reliability, at competitive prices, built in 9-12 mo. Next up: 30 MW of continuous power in 2027, then hundreds of MW after that.

We lost two pregnancies a few years ago before our healthy, perfect baby girl was born. We never found out why, or what we could do to change the outcome. As NASA and SpaceX engineers, when a satellite fails, it's not acceptable and we investigate why. I was shocked at the lack of answers in miscarriages. We discovered the research simply hasn't been done, and the funding levels have been abysmal.
This is why we started the Delphine Foundation. Our ambitious goal is to dramatically reduce miscarriage rates, and we're learning so much about preconception, fertility, and miscarriage science to improve outcomes. The endgame for datacenter power is solar, but it’s held back by storage and installation costs. Ambrosia is optimizing solar + storage as a service: $100/MWh at 99.9% uptime, 100% renewable, installed within a year. The goal is to be the cheapest source of 24/7 off-grid power in the U.S., and built faster than a gas-powered plant, to gigawatt scale.
One key insight: solar panel and LFP battery cell costs have fallen so dramatically that raw hardware is now only 10% of total system cost. Ambrosia is redesigning everything else, until the 10% flips to 90% of the total... affording a 9x cost advantage.
Another: with Starlink, data centers can be anywhere there’s energy. With off-grid solar, that energy can be anywhere, relaxing the constraints of geography.
TC: “A power plant should be able to be built at any scale in 12 months from contract signing to power on,” Sara Spangelo, co-founder and president of Ambrosia Energy, exclusively told TechCrunch.
If Ambrosia can deliver at scale, the startup could upend the energy world.
