Simon, you must know that Wandsworth residents are highly educated. Why treat them like fools? @CllrSimonHogg
Wandsworth Conservatives have decided to increase your Council Tax by £958. This is stunning & outrageous. People who don't know how to run the council panicking and making you pay the price. This increase is unfair and unnecessary. Let’s stop it bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm70…

The Labour Party in London reaching new levels of shamelessness. These are Labour’s cuts and Labour’s tax rises. That is an objective fact. Perhaps @PutneyFleur will at least call on her government to reverse damaging cuts to local authorities. We’re waiting.
Under Labour Wandsworth had Britain’s lowest Council Tax. Wandsworth Conservatives just announced Britain’s biggest ever Council Tax rise - they will more than double it next year. They don’t need to do this - it is their choice. Sign the petition: wandsworthlabour.uk/council-…
Community note
Wandsworth has held Britain's lowest council tax for decades under previous local Conservative administrations. The current Conservative-led council's proposed rise follows Labour government Fair Funding reforms cutting its central grants by 40% or £84 million annually. wandsworth.gov.uk/news/news-sept… bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… wandsworthconservatives.co.uk/news/wandswort

Why do this, why pick a fight when there are so many fundamental issues facing this country?
Israel closes the British consulate in East Jerusalem, calling us "hostile". So Labour has managed to piss off Israel, the USA, the Chagossians and the majority of the British people. Congratulations @UKLabour, you useless bunch of idiots.

‘Our BBC’ repeated the disgusting allegation that @Reformparty_uk leaders mourning the brutal killing of #AnnWiddecombe were advancing their own agenda. Hang your heads in shame @bbcr4today
Labour MPs lined up to pay tribute to Jo Cox. Parliament used the death of David Amess to pass the Online Safety Bill instead of mentioning radical Islam. However, Nigel Farage paying tribute to Ann Widdecombe is “hijacking it for propaganda”? Not having it at all.

The Left believe they are the good guys and that their ‘goodness’ excuses the most abhorrent behaviours
Boorish, bestial bullies like Adam Boulton & Alastair Campbell are a stain on British public life. The same liberal media machine that erupted when Badenoch called Phillipson "spiteful" will indulge Boulton calling a possible murder victim "spinster". The hypocrisy is sickening.

Just before PMQs, at the despatch box, she called one of my MPs a racist. She’s just said it again on Radio 4. The hordes of Labour MPs rushing to twitter to whine about me calling her “spiteful” are just exposing their own hypocrisy. They love to dish it but they can’t take it.
Today Bridget Phillipson called me a racist for what I said about mass Muslim prayer on Trafalgar Square. But religious belief and racial identity are different things. That's what's wrong with the "Islamophobia" definition. It's already being used to shut down free speech.

The left always demands the right is held to a much higher standard - such hypocrites
Kemi Badenoch showed her true character at PMQs today. Classless, vicious & vindictive towards the brilliant @bphillipsonMP . What is it about this clever, decent brilliant women bringing opportunity to children of all backgrounds that Kemi hates so much? Envy is a terrible thing

Those who use social media to incite violence and disorder are breaking the law. Next week we will lay in Parliament an update to the Online Safety Act requiring services to take quicker action to remove illegal content circulating during times of crisis.

Labour has asked the King to say he is ‘pleased to approve the appointment’ of this man to His Majesty’s Government.
Dear voters, This is who your vote is going to. This kind of politician that Labour puts in power: Meet Shaun Davies. Former Leader of Telford & Wrekin Council, now the Labour MP for Telford. Shaun oversaw the systemic failure of thousands of little girls at the hands of Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs. For years, he and the council he led downplayed the severity and scale of CSE in Telford and attempted to block an independent inquiry. If anyone should be held responsible for the modern culture of ignorance, victim-blaming, and indifference within the Council (as highlighted in the IITCSE investigation) it is Davies. Yet, he barely offered an apology, let alone took responsibility for his, his Cabinet’s, and his Council’s failure to protect vulnerable girls. On the day that the IITCSE Report was published, Shaun was noticeably silent. He gave no public statement and blatantly distanced himself from the findings. He later stated that: “I was three years of age at the time” CSE was going on, as well as trying to emphasise that it was historic and imply that this was all ‘before his time’. This isn’t true. CSE was, and is still, going on in Telford. Davies was in the Cabinet from 2011. He served as Leader from 2016. He was part of the establishment. He was part of the problem. He coordinated a letter which was co-signed by 9 other powerful local men (dubbed the ‘Telford Ten’) to Amber Rudd, then the Home Secretary, stating that it was “not necessary” for an independent inquiry into CSE in Telford. He instead claimed that the Alexis Jay inquiry into child sexual abuse (which didn’t cover Telford or go into detail about other CSE ‘hotspots’) would suffice. He only later backtracked due to significant public pressure. He supported members of his Cabinet who were directly responsible for the failings. Indeed, many of the key players in the Telford CSE scandal are still serving in positions of authority in Telford and elsewhere to this day. The Cabinet Member for Children’s Services at the time, Paul Watling, reportedly publicly called the journalist responsible for breaking the Telford story ‘despicable and said she was ‘inventing the scale of the abuse in order to sell a survivor’s book’. Another signatory of Council Leader’s letter to the Home Secretary, Andrew Mason, reportedly said the story was ‘made up on the back of a fag packet,’ while a different Labour councillor said that it was “sensationalised scaremongering”. And Davies’ attempts to distance himself from the failings that he was part of – indeed, that he was integral to – simply don’t hold up. It is my belief that he has only avoided scrutiny for this long because of the influential position he held in the Council. Even the implementation of the IITCSE Report (which heavily criticised Council leadership) was being overseen in-part by Davies (albeit as part of the complex implementation committee structures). Like in other Rochdale, Rotherham and elsewhere, Davies and other local men were essentially granted the power to mark their own homework. And now, he holds even greater power and influence as Telford’s MP. Despite the fact that concerns were raised before his election due to his involvement in the CSE scandal and continued refusal to acknowledge his Council’s failings. Labour continues to promote the very people who ignored little girls being abused. Davies and his Council turned a blind eye for far too long. In my opinion, no one that played a part in, or ignored, the cover-up of child grooming and exploitation is fit for office. Shaun Davies wasn’t an innocent bystander. He was part of the problem. He knew. He did everything in his power to cover it up and save face. And now he and politicians like him have the audacity to exploit the little girls they failed, claiming to represent us? He is unfit for office, and unfit for public life. Don’t give them more power. Don’t vote for men like Davies. Don’t vote for Labour.

"I am sorry. Sorry for what was done to you, sorry that so many people with power failed you, sorry for having believed Mandelson's lies and appointing him.” — Keir Starmer Dear Keir, Where was your apology to the girls raped by Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs? Where was your apology for the Labour-led councils, politicians, and local authorities that failed to protect those little girls? Where was your apology for the police forces who literally handed those little girls back to their rapists when they tried to get help? Where was your apology for the countless times you and your party tried to block inquiries into Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs. Where was your apology for calling concerned citizens “far-Right bandwagon jumpers” and accusing whistleblowers of inflating the statistics for political gain? Where was your apology for allowing Shaun Davies — the former leader of Telford & Wrekin Council who oversaw the most abhorrent failure of little girls in my hometown’s history and consistently tried to downplay and discredit CSE allegations — to be run and elected as a Labour MP for Telford. Where was your apology for the horrifically low rate of grooming gangs prosecutions during your tenure as Director of Public Prosecutions? Where was your apology for allowing your MPs to slander victims, call grooming gangs a “dog whistle”, and accuse people of being “Islamophobic” for daring to speak out against the epidemic Pakistani-Muslim rape. Where is your apology for that? Where is your outrage? Where is your shame? Shame on you.

It’s not 11-year-old boys who are committing violence against women and girls. We need to get people who have come from cultures that don’t respect women out of our country! Not all cultures are equally valid. Labour’s plan to lecture schoolboys to respect women and girls is a complete distraction. This is what a government looks like when they’re completely out of ideas. Deport all foreign criminals. Put more police on our streets. Conservatives have a funded plan to recruit 10,000 extra officers. Pretending a few extra lessons in school will fix this is complete nonsense. Labour need to stop watching Adolesence and get real. But they can’t, because they’re too scared, weak and divided. They have no serious plan to tackle this problem. Only the @Conservatives do and that’s why we’ll build a stronger Britain.

You are not defeated, Fiona…and you are not alone. You are one of the bravest women I’ve ever met and I’m saying this publicly because everyone should know. You stood tall in the face of vitriolic abuse and nasty smears. Without women like you waiving your anonymity and speaking the truth: 🔵We would never have uncovered the sheer scale of what had happened. 🔵We would never have seen the inadequacy of previous inquiries which didn’t dig deep enough. 🔵We would never have heard HOW badly state institutions from councils, police to social services failed you. I know you are disappointed not to have a judge leading the inquiry. And I know appointing a lead from the social services sphere in Bradford makes this feel worse. BUT You must not feel despondent. You have come so far and achieved so much. Without you, no one would have known exactly how the safeguarding minister was faffing about. A year ago, those of us asking for an inquiry were dismissed as jumping on a far-right bandwagon. Now we’ve got a national inquiry. It wasn’t going to be time-limited, now it is. Yes three years is longer than two, but not much longer. The govt did not want to look at religious, ethnic and cultural factors -these are now in the terms of reference. These wins would NOT have happened without your courage and remarkable feistiness. With complex issues, covering so many people, over a long period of time across the entire country it is unlikely anyone gets everything they want. But you must look back and see how far you’ve come. There is still much that must be done…and it should probably start with meeting Anne Longfield. Parliament and MPs from all parties can help you with that. Keep an open mind. The battle is not over and we are with you.
What was the point in fighting 11 years for justice? When at every turn we just face being let down and disappointed and brick walls from every one supposed to protect us and keep us safe instead going above and beyond trying to cover over the rape, torture, murder of children. Children kept as sex slaves for gangs of men while they all pretended not to notice. Children trafficked up and down the country by networks of criminals while they were instead blame and called prostitutes. Ive had to fight just to get a fraction of my rapists convicted with the vast majority still walking about because no one cared enough at the time to investigate and by the time they did to much time had passed. Ive had to fight for my abuse to even be acknowledged. Fight for the failings to be recognised. Fight for my right to have a family and stability. Ive lost so much. My eldest child. My innocence. My education. Oppertunities. I live with the physical and mental harm every day. Spent most of my life in hiding having to move about. Never having any normality well into my adulthood. Every time theres abit of hope of an end to all this, of closure and healing, We instead get another slap in the face and let down all over again. Because for those in charge its more important to turn a blind eye to the mass rape of children than it is to own up to years of enabling and facilitating that abuse. Today I genuinely feel defeated. I have lost hope of this ever resulting in truth
