Church of Saint Tibo #churchoftibo | Small team founder building modern web-based ERP systems for almost 20 years

Here's a very simple one: Please finally add audio notifications. It's insane we still need external tools hooking into app-server for that one. So incredible useful for desktop work. Ugly but functional UI with all required features below.

I can probably field it amongst others

Been hunting for a bug in my usage tracker for longer than I care to admit because I had 0% usage left, but all my threads kept working. Totally forgot about the 62k credits that @thsottiaux gave us. Turns out they last quite a bit, even multiple Sol 6.1 /ultra /fast goals only made a small dent in that stash

It's that time of year again when Google releases something with shiny benchmarks, everyone gets excited, only to realize 2 days later that it's a totally lobotomized model that cannot even get simple tool calls right? Or is this the real thing this time, on the 13th try? x.com/OfficialLoganK/status/…
Introducing Gemini 4 Argon, our new frontier model, rolling out to cyber defenders starting today, and more widely as soon as possible. I am really excited by the progress we have made here. Argon is priced at $2 in and $10 out during introductory pricing!

Sol 6.1's efficiency is from another planet: Started a Sol 6.1 Ultra /goal before I went to bed, with 4% of the usage on a $200 account left, expecting it to hit the limit a few minutes later. This morning I found out it kept running for almost 5 hours, achieved its goal and still had 1% usage left. @OpenAIDevs really cooked with that one, although the sub reduction still very much hurts for Astra

I don't think people get the impact of the Sol 6.1 price reductions AND /ultrafast yet. You get comparable intelligence to Astra, but 8x the speed for roughly the same price. This might be the end of the massively parallel thread juggling we've all been doing. Focus on one problem, talk it through with your agent in realtime. So much less mental overhead @OpenAIDevs

Turns out the trust in Saint @thsottiaux was justified. Sol 6.1 is on par with Astra, but only 20% of the cost. Factor in the 50% usage decrease for the Pro 200 Plan and we actually should get a 2.5x increase in actual useful work @OpenAIDevs

I'm trusting you on this Tibo, although I'm very skeptical about the claim "everyone will get more in the end". At least so far it seems like a very bad deal for Astra-only power users like me, we basically need to double our sub count. Also *please* finally add proper multi account support to Codex, it's now needed more than ever!

NOW we're talking, Pro 500, Ultrafast, Sol 6.1, jev clone 🎉
Underwhelming @OpenAIDevs Dev Day so far. Seems more like "normies" day than dev day. Devs want better models, better subscriptions ... not more ecosystem bloat on top of things. Let's hope things improve from here

Codex Pro plan naming has been updated: 5x -> 100, 20x -> 200. No 400 or 500 in sight yet. Fingers crossed.

Pro 5x and 20x habe been renamed to "Standard" and "More". Still not available though. Announcements incoming on dev day? Maybe finally the bigger 40x tiers? @thsottiaux @OpenAIDevs

.... a brand new integration for ChatGPT / Codex. You can see your different running tasks and their status. Easily navigate to tasks. View your usage and toggle models / effort levels with ease. Run skills, steer prompts and more. The perfect sidekick for your agents.

At this point I feel like Silicon Valley software companies a few years ago: Snatch up talent proactively, at any cost, even before you know what they'll be working on. Except it's @OpenAI Pro 20x subs, not engineers. But the market is totally sucked dry! And I'm not willing to accept inferior alternatives (looking at you, big Orange)

Got quite a few mutual follows over the last days via the #dev / #founder / #builder posts that made the rounds. Now my feed is full of obvious AI slop: "It's not X, it's Y", "The real story here is Z", "(Rephrasing a post). Here's a link to my SaaS". Very clearly accounts with 90% AI posts and maybe the occasional human post in between. What do we do? Tolerate? Interact to please the algo? Unfollow? Block? Calling them out?

Well, @gyazo is still down and my custom dream screenshot tool is done, notarized native macOS app and everything. Finally proper hotkeys, annotate-first approach, drawing directly on the desktop instead of in the browser. Startup time 3x faster, uploads 10x faster. AI is the death of small SaaS, it's the birth of tailor made custom tooling. x.com/lukas_undefined/status…
Inevitable fate of small apps ... @gyazo image delivery has been down for a few hours now. Let's see what happens first: they're back up or Astra has built a custom replacement 🤷‍♂️

Anyone else noticing their typing going downhill lately? So many typos, incomplete sentences, missing words. The agents just don't care. Couple that with a lot more voice input and I wonder if we are going to lose our typing ability in a few years, just as I lost my (at least legible) handwriting ability long ago ...

Current pet peeve: Progress bars and % values to display subscription usage. It's the wrong UI! @maria_rcks
Diagonal "ideal" usage + projected rays for 1h, 6h, 12h ... so much better than just a %-value or a progress bar, isn't it? But nobody shows it that way. Infuriating! 😅

Still haven't missed a single day since switching from CC to Codex back in May. Addicting! Anyone offering a longer streak?
