During a two-week trip to Gabon at Bongolo Hospital, our World Medical Mission volunteers performed orthopedic surgeries on 37 patients--and each one was presented with a Bible from our chaplains!
Prayer in an operating room is something not commonly seen in the United States, but it’s something one of our volunteers, Dr. Langford, started doing midway through his career.
“I've always found that it puts the patient at ease but it also put me at ease,” Langford said. “You realize that for some of these patients, if we don't do this operation, then it would never get done.”
We are so grateful for all of our Samaritan's Purse volunteers who make these trips possible!
