It feels so lonely.
And I can’t tell if some of them have too much faith in a deeply flawed system, or if they just believe the extra lives lost are just part of the price.

I got Mono when I was 11.
"You'll be up & around in 6 weeks!" they said.
I lost the entirety of grade 7 & it just got worse from there.
Mono to EBV to ME/CFS & SLE, FMS, Raynaud's, Sjögren's, Peripheral Neuropathy, Trigeminal Neuralgia...& on & on.
Any virus can disable you.
Yall know there are virus’s that have been disabling people BEFORE COVID?

I'm a disability rights advocate who has experienced first hand the effects of MAiD being listed in treatment options, simply because of multiple disabilities that have no terminal diagnosis.
It happened twice walking into surgery that I actively consented to.

Because it costs more to you, as a taxpayer, to keep people poor than it does to properly fund supports.
Disability benefits are never wealth hoarded. They are injected directly into local economies, creating a return of investment of 1.8 to 1.

It creates jobs, increases tax revenues, & shores up the middle class & small business owners.
It also drastically reduces the downstream costs to other public systems such as Healthcare. Stress & malnutrition are drastically reduced, taking pressure off hospitals & Dr's.

I am a disabled Canadian who dealt with a cancer diagnosis.
I did have #MAiD brought up in therapeutic spaces inappropriately, 3 times over 2 surgeries. Then 2 other times.
Dury to inform is real & traumatic to the patient it's being introduced to when they're asking to live.
Delays in cancer treatment are a real issue. Does she have a picture or copy of the pamphlet? I care for many patients and have had family members with cancer. I have NEVER seen a "MAiD pamphlet" delivered by mail from any official source.
