You can also look into @OnrampBitcoin Bitcoin IRA. That way you do not rely on a single custodian, you get multi-institution custody to protect your btc.

you may already know this, but inactive 401ks from old employers can be rolled into an IRA pretty easily. a bitcoin IRA is something we support at @OnrampBitcoin you don't have to trust a single institution to custody your retirement bitcoin, and you don't have to manage keys for decades ahead.

i keep seeing that people are tossing in the towel after years of self custody and parking their BTC in an ETF or single custodian one set of major trade offs for another you should know, there's a third way
The gap between buying & securing bitcoin is where mistakes happen. With Onramp, it doesn’t exist. Every buy can settle directly into your Multi-Institution Custody vault. Nothing to copy, nothing to get wrong. Pair with zero-cost DCA. Save in bitcoin, securely, on autopilot.

There's was a point in time where savings meant just earning more than you spent. It didn't always mean funneling your earnings in the S&P500 and as much real estate as possible. That is a fairly new phenomenon. Doesn't have to be this way.
If the money system wasn't fundamentally broken, it wouldn't be mandatory to own assets just in order to maintain your purchasing power. Infinite money printing is the most destructive scam that nearly everybody just accepts. It never gets addressed.

Hard to imagine a 'suddenly' type of situation where the retail adoption comes from

I'm not convinced that we'll see another massive surge of retail interest in bitcoin like there was in 2017 and less so 2021. Bad take?

Told @macrojack21 on The Last Trade that I'd make the trip to Philly even if it's just the two of us. But frankly would prefer it wasn't, so please join us in meatspace next week! @OnrampBitcoin 'After Hours' Wed 9/30 · 5:30 to 8 PM City Tap House Logan Square RSVP below 👇
Save a dollar at the start of 2020. Six years later it buys about 78 cents' worth of stuff. Save it in bitcoin instead and it buys $8.78 worth. You didn't need to trade, time anything, or follow a single headline. Focus on your craft, save in the right unit, and you came out ahead of nearly everyone. This week, on The Last Trade... ⚡️ Bitcoin ETFs log their biggest inflow day of 2026 ⚡️ BlackRock publishes research on AI agents needing machine-native money ⚡️ Howard Marks says the problem is the dollar, then stops one step short of the answer ⚡️ More attacks on crypto holders, single points of failure, plus the FBI data leak ⚡️Why every outcome of the AI buildout ends with printing dollars [@MTanguma @macrojack21 @BackslashBTC]

The Great Wall St Bitcoin Capitulation Will Be Epic.
The dilemma: If the Fed hikes it will worsen the interest expense problem (since so much borrowing is at the short end). If the Fed cuts it will worsen the inflation problem.

Wild! 10 year US bond yield is up 20 BPS. This is the 3rd largest daily move in the last 45 years. This is going to cause some heartburn.
