In 2010, I went to Pochaina to buy Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged.
In 2024, my own Management in Times of War @management_war was sold there.
Now a Russian missile has destroyed the market.
Under stress, teams copy visible behaviour. Avoidance can become an informal operating norm.
Make blocked work visible, define one achievable next action and support the person who takes it.
Agency can spread through the same network as paralysis.
A system cannot outperform its main constraint. Before improving everything, find where work accumulates and progress stops. Protect that point, increase its capacity and measure again. The bottleneck will move, and management attention must move with it.
Responsible innovation increases the size of the bet only as evidence improves. Test the assumption most likely to invalidate the idea. If the result is weak, learn cheaply. If it is strong, scale deliberately.
A meeting reduces stress only when it closes uncertainty: a recorded decision, a named owner, a deadline and clear communication.
Otherwise, unresolved commitments keep consuming the team’s attention long after the call ends.
Delegation under pressure is not a choice between trust and control.
Trust creates room to act; analysis assigns the right ownership; feedback keeps the system on course.
Done well, delegation removes bottlenecks and builds capability.
My network has long outgrown my memory.
I’ve been testing @dexprm for the past few months, and it has already helped me reconnect with people I hadn’t spoken to in years.
Dex v5 is a big step forward. Thanks to founder & CEO @kevnsn for the early access.
My daughter ditched Hello Kitty and stole my Management in Times of War cap.

On June 1, SBU launched a historic op: strike drones were secretly delivered by truck deep into Russia and hit over 40 aircraft at 4 airfields in one coordinated attack.
Damage: $2B+.
The operation continues.
This is real demilitarization.
