Yes Manu, they NEED to be best of 5 sets! In our sport of tennis, the Grand Slams are the ultimate test. Mental, physical, and emotional endurance are what sets the Majors apart. Just look back at all the classic 5 set thrillers over the years involving the greats! So much of the essence of Grand Slams would be lost if that changed. I would even argue that the Women’s game would benefit from best of 5 (at least in the later rounds). Not every sport needs to adapt to what appears to be society’s decreasing attention span.

Coming from an NBA player it’s laughable. Aside from the sport being staged and boring, you play best of 7 for all playoff series and end up wasting viewers time for months

¿Realmente el Basket en la NBA necesita jugarse en 4 tiempos? Si al final un partido se decide en los 2 últimos minutos. Yo por eso prefiero ahorrarme hora y media de partido y veo solo los últimos minutos donde está la emoción real 🤷🏻
