So, I lose my tenner: I predicted Jon would go with “In Israel, a ray of hope”. He’s gone for “the opposition needs to cooperate with Palestinian parties”, a thing he concedes won’t happen, because most of Israeli society is “predominantly right wing” theguardian.com/commentisfre…

I mean this as a philosophical thought, not a xenophobic one, but if you think any specific plot of land is an object of God’s passion, then I think you’d move there and spend your short time on earth living there. Why live in a place like the US that God doesn’t care about?
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt: God promised us Israel "thousands of years ago."

Do you think he wrote the words “preferential democracy” without stopping to think about what that means
Israel is a preferential democracy. And figuring out how to integrate 2 million Palestinian citizens is critical to a Jewish democratic state. The JL may be bridge too far Gadi. Though look at Bibi’s buddies - Smotrich and Ben Gvir.

Park that Andreas Malm has condemned attacks on civilians on October 7th. If you're a public figure and had said: "I am glad Israel wiped Gaza off the face of the earth" or "There are no innocents in Gaza" Then the British Government would not ban you from entering.
The problem is that climate change isn't the only thing this chap has big opinions about. Saluting the Hamas attack on October 7 - glorifying it in fact - is probably what lies behind this decision.

.@the_andrey_x and I were charged with assault, along with five other offenses. After being kept up all night and interrogated for seven hours, we finally saw a judge. He watched the footage and concluded it was clearly a one-sided attack and that we were the victims. His response was to ban us from the West Bank for two months, let the police keep my phone, and bring no charges against the settlers he had just watched attack us.
Hi, I'm free. Beat up but fine. Police stole my phone. Settlers punched me in the face several times, likely broke @AdeleShoko's wrist and gave @the_andrey_x a concussion. They threatened to shoot us with an assault rifle over and over. Will tell the full story later, but for now, I just want to be clear about what happened. We witnessed two settlers locking a military gate in Umm al-Khair, blocking the only way to more than twenty Palestinian communities: trapping families inside, preventing students from reaching school and workers from their jobs, blocking delivery of food and access to ambulances, etc. It's a crime that the military has this ability at all--but last night, we discovered that random settler terrorists also have the key. We confronted them and began asking questions on camera, and they nearly murdered us for it. When the police finally arrived, they arrested Andrey and me and charged us with assault. The gate is still locked.

This was made possible because the BBC, Sky News, LBC, Guardian, The Times, Telegraph and co told the public Israel was targeting control and command centres, retrieving hostages and using price munitions as they were carrying out a genocide.
The latest aerial footage reveals the scale of Israel’s genocide in Gaza—devastation beyond words. We are entering the fourth year, and Israel still bars international journalists from entering the Strip. Be a voice for Gaza, for its victims, its innocent civilians, and those whose stories remain untold. Do not stay silent!

Remarkable paragraph in Jonathan Freedland’s latest column about the Israeli elections. He uses multiple words to describe the intrinsic, structural discrimination in Israel when one would suffice: apartheid.

Sir Patrick Stewart was a real one.
In fact I was in Ramallah and elsewhere in the West Bank last year. Had hoped to spend some time in Gaza on this visit but not possible.

People are too obsessed with Israel, why not The Netherlands or Japan?

The Michigan campaign against Abdul El-Sayed is revealing on so many levels: the unapologetic Islamophobia, the weaponisation of Muslim identity and the limits of American democracy when a Muslim dares to seek power.

This thread is one of the best demonstrations of Israeli apartheid and interiorised racism against Arabs.

2. Changing Israel's constitutional and national character Under Section 3 of the Platform, From Racism to Full Equality, the Joint List advocates: A constitutional framework founded on equal citizenship regardless of national or religious affiliation. Recognition of Palestinian Arabs in Israel as an indigenous national community with collective national rights [in Israel]. Separation of religion and state. Repeal of legislation it considers to establish Jewish supremacy, particularly the Nation-State Basic Law. Now this might sound noble, except for the fact that the Joint List defines Zionism itself as racist (see Point 1). The 2018 Nation-State Basic Law establishes that national self-determination in Israel is exclusive to the Jewish people. Repealing that law and replacing its constitutional principles would materially change Israel's existing constitutional definition. There is an important qualification: advocating equal citizenship or repealing the Nation-State Law does not, by itself, necessarily entail abolishing every aspect of Israel's Jewish character. However, Balad, a constituent party of the Joint List and an explicitly Arab/Palestinian nationalist party, explicitly advocates transforming Israel into a “state of all its citizens” rather than one constitutionally defined as Jewish. en.idi.org.il/israeli-electi…

After all of its denials around NAZA, Israel is reportedly contacting Hamas paramilitaries and offering them choice between being killed with their families or on their own. This is the context for one man's summary execution by a drone atop a roof in Gaza yesterday.

Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice went on a trip to “the Gaza front line” in September 2025 funded by Reform Friends of Israel, where he concluded that the Gaza famine was a “blatant lie”. A few weeks after Tice’s visit, his chief of staff and other Reform figures undertook another trip which included a visit to the illegally occupied Golan Heights, which the UK recognises as part of Syria. They also visited Israel’s police headquarters, which is overseen by far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who is sanctioned by the UK for “repeated incitement of violence against Palestinian civilians”. This trip was funded by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to newly released Israeli government data seen by Declassified and found by Berlin-based journalist Yossi Bartel. declassifieduk.org/israel-sp…

Patrick Stewart's entire body of work, but as Picard in particular, is something that connects the person I am today with who I was as a kid. It collapses time for me. I still have the same awe and fascination with his performance and belief that it represents the best of us.

A clear and consistent pattern all over the white people world: very right wing criminals trying to maintain their grip on power by claiming election fraud and foreign interference, as well as secret Bolshevik plots orchestrated with domestic and foreign racial enemies.
