Nice to see @BBCNews reporting discovery of a missing German WW2 U-boat 👏
Just strange they’ve ignored the missing HMT Empire Windrush… a WW2 German vessel steeped in #BritishHistory for the past 72 years 🤷🏼♂️

Britain has so many idiot bigots that clearly need ‘reforming’ and that’s bad enough.
But worse still, we seem to have millions of people that desperately require educating about the catastrophic dangers of ‘restoring’ egregious empire values.
#WhatAreWeLike 🙄
Warning: Distressing and graphic language
An undercover investigation by ITV Exposure into Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has found multiple elected councillors and party candidates expressing racist views and using offensive language.
ITV has obtained secretly recorded footage showing Reform officials from across England and Wales using violent, racist and sexist language.
Councillors Alan Feeney, Chris Whelan and Jamie Campbell did not reply to our request for comment. Councillors Feeney and Whelan have since resigned from Reform UK.
In a statement shared with ITV News, Reform UK said: "Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed."
"Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations."

If people don’t know the facts about the demise of HMT Empire Windrush in March 1954 with the loss of 4 crew #RIP they really should start asking questions 🫣
IMO there is far more circumstantial evidence to the story than you think

On 16 October 1968, Sprinters Tommie Smith and John Carlos gave a Black Power Salute during the 200-meter race awards ceremony at the Mexico City Olympics, an act for which they were later suspended from the U.S. team. ❤️💚🖤

Why are the National Windrush Organisation & the National Windrush Museum using bastardised pix on their promotional material?
Surely ‘honouring the legacy’ should mean using the REAL photo from 1948 & one of the truly iconic images of the 20th century
AI erasing history 🤷🏼♂️

I had a great host in @Slate's Lizzie O’Leary. We got into a conversation about how, in the midst of discussions about AI and catastrophic events on a large scale, we need to be alert to a more intimate catastrophe—that if chatbots are our children’s best friends, they will not be able to develop the capacity for attachment, relationships, and love. Thinking of Mum & Dad today who married 30 September 1950 in Leicester on mum’s 20th birthday!
Dad always joked it was a cunning plan avoiding two anniversary presents 🤣
God bless my beautiful spirited parents and the baton of compassionate values they handed to me 🤗🕯️🕯️🤗
