NEW and EXCLUSIVE— I interviewed Theophilos III, the Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church in Jerusalem, who said after meeting with President @realDonaldTrump at the White House earlier this summer he intends to go meet with both Ukrainian President @ZelenskyyUa and Russian President Vladimir Putin to try to help broker an end to the war in Ukraine.
Theophilos III: “ President Putin is a faithful practicing member of the Orthodox Church and President Zelensky is spiritually reflective and faithful. Both Presidents bare considerable responsibilities, and we very much look forward to working with them to open channels of communication and constructive dialogue.”
In addition, Theophilos had a biblical message from Christ for President Trump: “I would like to leave President Trump with the words of Christ, ‘blessed are the peacemakers.’”

Yet amazingly, they did enough to not just get into the playoffs but have a serious shot at winning it all. @JeffPassan of ESPN is out there predicting the Sox will in fact make it to the World Series and win out in the AL (despite the September slumber, the Sox were hot since the All Star break):

Unless the Red Sox are like deliberately tanking to try to drop to the sixth seed, this really doesn’t inspire confidence going into the playoffs. Really hoping they catch fire at the end and get going for October. Would be a shame for them to flame out. They’re such a great team when they actually play baseball.

Pretty much my takeaway. Did she do or say the worst things ever seen/heard on Capitol Hill? No. But if you’re going to blame grief for creating a dysfunctional work environment in a taxpayer-funded office, voters might be right to question your judgment.
So the Mary Peltola campaign is admitting that Mary Peltola physically abused a staffer and the rest of these horrible things and blaming it on grief? Wow, that’s a way to go.

In light of the Peltola story, I do have to make a confession. I've asked folks—including one who i've worked with—if they could swing by my house to feed cockroaches to my kid's pet lizard. I did so out of desperation. My family was out of town. I have also been very clear with them that this is a major ask and I don't extend it lightly. I realize now this could hamper any future electoral ambitions.
