ℹ️APMnT wiki: Based on some feedback I've added a section to the intent of the friction chart up top of the page "Friction in gemstone metamaterial technology": apm.bplaced.net/w/index.php?… There is still much more improving & reviewing to do for this page that gradually grew too big.

New APMnT wiki page: "Links to illustrated pages on Damian Allis' blog somewhereville" apm.bplaced.net/w/index.php?… While collecting links I discovered the new gallery page that he (@somewhereville) had created on my suggestion 🙂 This page: somewhereville.com/nanotechn…

More APMnT wiki updates & new pages: "Tour by map" got text content: apm.bplaced.net/w/index.php?… "Tour by topic" I hugely expanded quite recently: apm.bplaced.net/w/index.php?… Added the sorely missing hub page: "Experimental work relevant for or targeted at APMnT" apm.bplaced.net/w/index.php?…

Thrilled to share our latest work on N,S-[3]triangulene, a "happy" molecule that looks surprisingly cheerful under the microscope 😊 now published online! @J_A_C_S @NUSResearch pubs.acs.org/jacsat/article-…

I would not have been able to visualize the quite concrete picture in my head without modern image generating AI. This was not an easy generation as it is so outside of image training data as a whole. The old one on the right is pure CG from pre-AI times.

Un-deploy the hood and anemone-arm fairy-hands and slip it in your backpack so you can make things even while off-grid hiking. Bring a "matter-bank" too. (The analog to a power-bank if not obvious from he name.) …

Grid connected it gets even more amazing. I may post something on that later.

They have a website: rotatrix.com/ With mailing list & preregistry. 😯 support for linux too. 🤔 I might wanna order one. 🫤 Concern: Hacking onto an existing end user product has not many good precedents of working out well long term.

And to me it feels totally absurd that such space mice are not made and sold by big producers now and since long ago.

How about a pick-n-place robot (not the SMD kind) for a print-farm that automatedly assembles chairs & shelves & such from smaller 3D printed parts?
Replying to @lukas_m_ziegler
IMO we need (3D printed) pick-n-place robots that assemble 3D printed parts. Start with simple things like e.g. by recomposition regonfigurable chairs & shelves. No vitamins needed. Print FDM optinized screws too. github.com/mechadense/scad-l… …

Some few thoughts on scaling mechanosynthesis.
As for the current & immediately forseeable state of the art of mechanosynthesis I fully agree. But I see no reason why some not so trivial nanomachinery with a few billion atoms should still be impractical in a few decades ahead other than a lack of interest & funding. …

Seems like a great epaper project:
The founders of @Modostech share how they created the Modos Flow, a complete #e-paper monitor. ”We want the whole thing open source, so all our parts need to have open documentation with nothing gated behind an NDA.” buff.ly/amuDbfV
