Indeed @TheTheoShaw works with me and I am phenomenally proud of all the work he does to support equality, including his volunteer work for the @GMB_union and the amazing impact he has on those we work with. He is a truly inspirational young man.

The comments under this have been hilarious. Plenty of comments from TERFS saying it’s “two men arguing over what women want”, when, in any other circumstance, people with their views would be calling me a woman 🤣 I guess you can’t always tell by sight. Quite affirming really 🤣

This appalling, inadequate bill should not be returned to the Lords or Commons, particularly not in a way that bars MPs from amending it, and which makes any Lords amendments effectively pointless. There is nothing democratic about forcing a bill widely acknowledged to have serious flaws into law on any issue, but particularly so on this fundamental issue of life, death and the need to protect society’s most vulnerable. MPs need to vote this bill down on Friday.

Some of my colleagues have been told the government will not roll out the assisted dying bill until the NHS and the Gvt is ready and it’s safe. The Bill before us on Friday makes this IMPOSSIBLE. Auto commencement in the Bill means if it passes, it happens. Ready or not.
