The first novel I ever loved was the survival classic Hatchet, but recently I’ve learned that a *lot* of women despise this book, and see it is as something they were forced to read in school to entice the idiot illiterate boys in their English class. I dove into that tension!

Stephen Miller’s appointment to CoS seems to lock in a thesis which had been percolating here and elsewhere before the votes even finished being counted on Election Night: that the GOP “didn’t go hard enough.” They can’t extricate themselves from Iran, which remains unpopular even within the base, due to imperial optics AND Israeli control, so the only place they can actually “go hard” is culture warriordom.
If Republicans were a competent political party, they would quickly pivot away from culture war issues and have a full-on intraparty reckoning the way Democrats did post-2024.
Unfortunately for them, it appears they have learned absolutely NOTHING from this midterm blowout.

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".
Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.
I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

The "pro-life movement" is already dead, what are you talking about? Abortion is a dead issue. Most of the ballot measures that went up after 2022 voted against the "pro-life" cause. It's a complete and total failure, and an obvious grift for Christian organization.
If this happens, I think the pro-life movement is just over.
40 years of planning, finally succeeding, then even Republicans running away from abortion bans, all followed by lib justices bringing back abortion rights in a much more secular country would collapse all hope.

The trick is actually to not think that hard about it at all. Prompts like this “beg the question” and there’s a clear side you’re supposed to take. You’re not supposed to disagree, you’re supposed to agree and then justify that agreement.
I would have almost no idea how to write the second essay, especially as a teenager, because the quote does not really mean anything.
