The weirdest thing this election cycle is the COMPLETELY FALSE idea that food inflation is exploding under Trump. It simply is not. Average grocery inflation has been 2.6% the past 20 years. It has been 2.2% under Trump the past year! Shelter inflation is also WAY down to 3% from 6%. This is another area people think is soaring. It's not. It's weird how people believe something that is simply not true.

Regular gasoline is up 45% since Jan 2025. Diesel is up 79% since Jan 2025. Beef is up 18 to 22% since Jan 2025. Ground coffee is up 30% since Jan 2025. Shrinkflation is also here as well. Packaging is getting smaller or even the size of every day items are shrinking, but the price remains the same.

Bill— we’re still living in the Biden economy where prices have not come down. It’s been two years and nothing. We are drowning in the working class. So wake the fuck up.

There are items that are up - like beef - but your basics are definitely lower today for the most part than they were in 2023. That's just a fact.

But zoomers paid twenty bucks to DoorDash a burrito and NeverTrump shitbags picked that up and ran with it until Trump said "we'll give everyone a dividend from the good stuff we did!" and the shitbags all screamed "NO NOT LIKE THAT!!!"

Psy-Op. Press continues to hammer on us that what we are seeing is not so. Many low information voters just accept it. The old British spy op telling people snow is black until they believe it.

2.2% is slightly higher than under Biden (2024) August was 2.7%, so far for the year is 3% but many everyday food items are very high, (e.g. Ground Beef +8%-10%, Coffee +6.1%, Fish and Seafood +6.5%, Apples +5.4%, Peanut butter +4.7%, Eating Out +3.4%, Sitting Down +3.5%).

As far as I can see the @GOP is doing absolutely nothing to dispel the left's lies.

This is simply not true. Meat…ground meat is as expensive as premium meat. Every item almost is $7 to $10. A grocery bill a few years ago that was $50 is now almost $150. You can post these all day trying to convince people but we know better.

You're doing what liberal media did under Biden, You're telling people what they are seeing and feeling isn't true

Spit in people’s face and tell them it’s raining probably isn’t the greatest tactic of persuasion… but I guess that’s all you got with such a weak republican congress

Yep. Pretty much every HORRIBLE stat I've seen quoted by doommongers lumps 4 years of Joey with less than 2 years of Trump.

Truth. Right on point Bill. Notice where the inflation skyrocketed.

The energy supply shock is real and ripples throughout all supply chains. We have experienced larger price increases & high rates in the past. Those periods of time are often neglected. Heck, our 1st mortgage was a 12%, 30 yr fixed note. We dined out to celebrate refi’ing at 10%.

Due to droughts beef is up on average 20%. Coffee is up 47%. Neither are Trump's fault, but he is the president and he promised lower costs so he will be blamed. Produce is up around 5%.

Courtesy of the fake news media. A lie repeated over and over tends to influence people's minds. And the fake media knows that well.

My grocery bills here in Portland Oregon are starting to go down. Now if we had a sane and sensible government here in the city of Portland and the state of Oregon my grocery bills would be even lower..

This is true. It’s also true that the Iran war has caused inflation with zero upside to Americans and so voters won’t care

You’re off by a little ( but closer to truth than normal). Of course overall inflation is up by 50% now and food is less only because eggs were so high until the disease stopped spreading ( which had nothing to do w Trump)

Try buying a steak Bill. Or coffee. Or beer. All are up significantly more than 2.6%.

You can cite statistics just like the Biden administration, but the consumer sees what really exists looking at the grocery store register and rents. So deny all you want. . .

The weird thing is that the upper class is STILL trying to tell people that can't afford to live like they used to that there's no problem. They have plenty of $ and don't even feel it, those of us with over 20 Years in a job that have to keep cutting back don't buy your BS.

You just don’t get it. Trump promised to LOWER food prices and he has not. You are doing exactly what Biden did to us. You are trying to convince Americans that we are not experiencing what is actually happening.

Yes. Continuing to tell people feeling squeezed with groceries that it’s all in their head because “OMG LOOK AT THE RECENT CPI REPORT,” is quite the strategy to gain Republican votes in the mid terms.

Trump promised lower prices. Not prices increasing slightly less. He’s been a disaster. We all see it. Get over it
