When we canvassed in Mesa we came across an apt where the current resident said she had received over 17 ballots from people that had lived there before. She had been at that address for 5 years. We happened upon a postman as we were leaving and asked him what happens to these ballots that are returned- he said well they usually end up in a bag somewhere in the post office!

According to the public Colorado voter roll, seventy-six active status registrants, ranging in age from 19 to 29, listed the address of Lomis Hall at Colorado College in Colorado Springs as their primary residence when they registered to vote in Colorado although only two have their ballots delivered to this address. Sixty-eight have mailing addresses directing ballots to mostly individual box numbers at the Student Services Center on N. Tejon although two go to the Worner Campus, one to a different Colorado address, one to an Illinois address and two to different New Jersey addresses. Lomis Hall is designated as a First-Year majority hall at Colorado College and is home to 262 students divided into 12 wings containing approximately 20 students each. The lounge in Loomis is great for community gatherings and is equipped with a fireplace and a piano.

Denver’s sales tax revenue is growing barely above inflation.* Expectations for Q4 are “for a bit of a consumer slowdown.” A big share of the “growth” in 2026 is actually not expanded consumer spend, but an accounting shift—Stapleton’s TIF** expired, so those dollars that used to live elsewhere on the books (and go back to the developer) now stay with the City. This is why the Chief Economist notes that if she took the “new” Stapleton dollars off (like before the TIF expired) Denver’s 2025 sales tax “growth” was only 1.9%‼️ That is lower than inflation, meaning real new sales tax from spending SHRANK in 2025. Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold has been a disaster for Colorado. And now, it’s was discovered that personal information for Colorado’s Confidential Voters was exposed online for 11 days. To make matters worse, one of these confidential voters is Michael Allen, a current Colorado District Attorney who is running against Jena Griswold for Attorney General in this November’s election! District Attorney Allen’s data was accessed twice by apparently unknown individuals. Of course, Jena’s office also leaked passwords for voting machines right before the 2024 election. According to the public Colorado voter roll, twenty-five active status registrants, ranging in age from 23 to 65, listed the address of the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office in Grand Junction as their primary residence when they registered to vote in Colorado. Five others not registered at this address collect their Colorado ballots here. Unlike homeless shelters or any of the other locations I’ve been featuring in my posts, where massive numbers of unaccompanied Colorado ballots are dumped by the Secretary of State each election, Colorado statute 1-7.5-113.5 REQUIRES that ballots for registrants at a county jail or detention center are both delivered and coordinated by the county clerk and a TRAINED designee of the sheriff who is charged with collecting and securely storing completed ballots until a team of bipartisan election judges, acting at the direction of the county clerk, retrieves them. Accordingly, this is one of the very rare cases where chain of custody control over ballots is maintained, although one might wonder how long someone might “live” at this location (the voter roll suggest two have been there since 2024) and why someone who isn’t living there would want to collect their ballot from here. In Colorado, EVERYONE can vote EXCEPT FOR individuals detained or incarcerated for a felony conviction.

Four have mailing addresses directing their Colorado ballots elsewhere although thirty-five others not registered at this address collect their Colorado ballots here. This means that eighty-eight Colorado ballots will be batch-delivered to WellPower next election for the busy staff and volunteers to worry about distributing on behalf of a Colorado Secretary of State who has no chain of custody qualms about entrusting end-user ballot distribution duties to third party private sector individuals. (As an aside, I’m curious as to how likely is it that all eighty-eight registrants will just happen to visit the center when the ballots are being held at the front desk, and how those individuals can exercise their constitutional right to vote otherwise?) The WellPower Recovery Center provides adult recovery and outpatient mental health services, psychiatric care and intensive outpatient services, and case management and wellness support. There is also a pharmacy on-site.

When you register to vote in Colorado, you are assigned a unique voter ID number that stays with you for life. Even if you move away and later return, that original ID number is supposed to be re-assigned to you. Your ID number also indicates to a busy body like me, approximately when you first registered to vote in the state. Colorado moved to nine digit ID numbers in 2008 and anyone with a five, six or seven digit ID number first registered to vote before then. The public version of the Colorado voter roll includes a ‘registration date’ field but this will always be updated if someone moves from one county into a different county so it doesn’t always show the original date someone first registered to vote. At a two bedroom townhouse in Denver, there are four active status registrants including the two listed below. It is likely that when this individual moved to Denver this year and updated her driver’s license, she also completed some other state form without using her middle name and was automatically issued a second, brand new registration ID. But just like getting a second social security number, this should NEVER happen. Nonetheless, because the Secretary of State, bless her little communist heart, doesn’t believe in checking for or preventing duplicate voter registrations, it seems to happen way too frequently in Colorado. THIS particular individual, assuming it isn’t a random coincidence that two people with almost identical names ended up living in the same rental property, is currently on deck to receive TWO ballots for the November 2026 election and could legally return both because the Colorado Secretary of State is a complete face ache.

Eight have mailing addresses directing their Colorado ballots elsewhere (one to Santee, CA) and three others not registered at this address collect their ballots here. This means that a total of seventy-six Colorado ballots will be batch delivered to this Canon City address next election for the busy staff and volunteers to worry about distributing. The Colorado Secretary of State sees no chain of custody issues associated with have a large number of unaccompanied ballots delivered by the USPS to a single address like this one and delegating the distribution of those ballots to whomever it is that collects the mail there. The Loaves & Fishes Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit providing food, shelter, clothing, transitional housing, and a navigation center for individuals and families experiencing poverty or homelessness in Fremont County.

So far this year, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data, 28,100 new payroll jobs have been created in Colorado and 18,500 existing payroll jobs have been eliminated, for a net positive gain of 9,600 new jobs added to the state's economy. However, when you compare the average salaries or wages of the jobs being added (more lower paying jobs than higher paying jobs) versus those being lost (more higher paying jobs than lower paying jobs), total gross payrolls received by Colorado residents will DECLINE by $10,987,168 on an annualized basis. This could be problematic for the state's budget if forward-estimate government spending commitments are based on ever expanding annual state income tax revenue collections. Which they are ...

Despite what some half-wit local Secretary of State or Attorney General or Congressperson or Senator might say, non-citizens DO vote in federal elections in the U.S. A legal permanent resident / Green Card holder can apply for U.S. citizenship, if they wish to, after holding a Green Card for 5 years, or 3 years if married to a U.S. citizen. To do so they must submit a Form N-400, “Application for Naturalization.” (It currently costs $710 to file this.) On January 31 2022, I filed a freedom of information request (FOIA) with the Department of Homeland Security to ask how many applicants had recently submitted N-400 forms and how many had positively answered the following two questions: Part 12, Question 2: "Have you EVER registered to vote in any Federal, state, or local election in the United States?” Part 12, Question 3: "Have you EVER voted in any Federal, state, or local election in the United States?"
 (At the time I submitted my FOIA, non-citizen voting was allowed in only a handful of local elections around the nation.) On April 12, 2024 I finally received a response to my FOIA. I was informed that between 2016 and 2020 there were 4,640,671 N-400 applications processed nationwide and 7,205 (0.16%) had answered “yes” to question 2, and 3,628 answered “yes” to question 3 (0.08%). Given that a Green Card holder has EVERYTHING TO LOSE by answering either question truthfully, it is remarkable that anyone answered either question positively. It does nevertheless speak to the integrity and quality of some of the immigrants who go through the arduous process of applying to enter the United States through legal channels. If LEGAL immigrants admit to voting in elections, ILLEGAL immigrants are voting too! A curious postscript to my FOIA was the fact that a new version of the N-400 form was released and dated on the same day that President Trump was inaugurated in 2025. This new form combined both questions I asked about into a Part 9 question: “Have you EVER registered to vote or voted in any Federal, state, or local election in the United States? ...” A last gasp by Biden administration Democrats to make sure that a busy body like me could NEVER in the future find out how many Green Card holders were illegally voting in federal elections? If you are a Democrat, it is important to cover your tracks … Or at least try to.
