BREAKING: Germany has arrested former BND chief August Hanning in a major suspected espionage and treason case involving highly classified intelligence on Iran’s nuclear programme and the Russian military.
According to investigations by WDR, NDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung, the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating Hanning over suspected treasonous espionage, obtaining state secrets, attempted treason and intelligence-agent activity.
Investigators from the Federal Criminal Police Office reportedly arrested Hanning early this morning at his home in Nordwalde near Münster. A second former senior BND employee, identified as Manfred D. was also arrested in Bavaria. D. allegedly supplied Hanning with highly classified BND information for money until at least 2022.
Around 2,000 classified documents are reportedly believed to have been passed from D. to Hanning. Many were briefings prepared for the “ND Lage” at the Federal Chancellery, where the heads of Germany’s security agencies exchange intelligence. The documents reportedly included extremely sensitive assessments of Iran’s nuclear programme and Russia’s armed forces, as well as intelligence originating from foreign partner services.
Investigators reportedly suspect that Hanning used at least some of the information to prepare a security analysis for a foreign intelligence service. According to WDR, NDR and SZ, the service involved in that case was not Russia. In another case, Hanning is alleged to have used information from classified BND documents in communications with a foreign agent.
The case reportedly came to light after Hamburg investigators searched Hanning’s home and offices in September 2025 during a separate investigation connected to the Christina Block kidnapping case. They allegedly discovered an electronic storage device containing highly classified BND material that Hanning should not have possessed.
The documents reportedly included material dating as recently as June 2022, years after Hanning had left the BND. The Hamburg LKA subsequently handed the material over to federal authorities, and the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office opened a classified investigation in May 2026.
For Germany’s intelligence community, the allegations are extremely serious. The material allegedly included intelligence supplied by foreign partner services. Any unauthorized disclosure of such information could seriously damage trust between the BND and allied intelligence services.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the allegations against Hanning have not been proven in court.

Your text — “Hey it’s David. We are gathering input from Americans on the relationship with Israel. Can we chat?
Stop2End” — is the same opening used since late 2025 in a pro-Israel texting operation. Documented variants use “John with Friends for Peace,” “Matt” with Partners in Peace, and “Sarah,” all ending in Stop2End and asking to chat about the U.S.–Israel relationship. Those names are fronts. In at least one exchange the sender said they “use different names.”
Responsible Statecraft, later confirmed in a co-publication with The Intercept, tied that campaign to Brad @parscale ’s firm Clock Tower X and its subcontractor SparkFire Technologies. Clock Tower X registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA No. 7649) for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contracted through Havas. The contract started at $6 million in September 2025 and was raised to $9 million in December. FARA supplements show about $6 million of those funds directed to SparkFire for AI chatbot mass texting. The bots open as a survey, then push pro-Israel talking points and links to Clock Tower sites and videos such as Allies for Peace. The numbers used are VoIP, not ordinary mobile lines.
(817) 200-4915 fits that pattern and does not identify a person. It is an Arlington, Texas rate-center number on Level 3 / Bandwidth.com, a wholesale VoIP carrier. It has a handful of FTC robocall complaints from September 2026. Reverse lookups do not attach it to Clock Tower X or SparkFire by name.
So: same campaign script, same Stop2End opt-out, same VoIP setup as the Parscale/Clock Tower X/SparkFire operation paid by Israel. This specific number has not been independently matched to that registration in public records. Replying hands the sender your answers; Stop2End is the opt-out line already in the text.

So, I built what I could not find: a page for every single person on your ballot, showing exactly who is paying for them.
Pick your state and you get your voting rules, issues on your specific ballot this midterm, a map of your congressional districts, the measures on your ballot and what they actually do, and a profile on all 2,517 candidates for governor, Senate and House.
For each candidate it shows where their money came from and who wrote the checks, what outside groups spent for them and against them, the companies and nonprofits they own out of their own financial disclosure, and where they stand on the issues with the vote or the quote behind it.
Every number links back to the filing it came from. If something is missing or something is wrong, tell me and I will fix it.
