Lot of problems with abdul elsayeds background, and though it seems impressive as "doctor" and rhodes scholar, but i professionally run in those circles and can show how weak his credentials and qualifications really are- if not problematic.
professional scientist, tenured lrofessor, and teacher of doctoral students here. Ill save you some time and work: I already went through a ton of Abdul El-sayed's clownshow:
1. he is not a Physician, never did a residency after being pushed through en masse for MD graduation (relatively common and easy once admitted, schools avoid bad retention numbers).
2. He also does not have a PhD, either, which people then point to- he has a d.Phil, from oxford in England, and it is in a joke of a field called "public health"- among the lowest grade of academic disciplines. Itn usually takes 4 years of an original study you design and collect data for, butnhe did it in two years on a shoddy shudy he did not collect the data for- very suspicious.
3. He is also not a scientist/doctor, either, as his published work includes Zero true empirical reseach studies outside on a 2016 paper where theyntested how obese people domgoogle searches (lol), and instead only looked for correlations of stats in other peoples data and generally only on arab americans for some reeason.
4. That is: he has never conducted and analyzed and published in peer review a single empirical resesrch study in which he manipulated independent variables qhile holding other variables constant and measuing dependent variables.
Its a complete crock of shit, and a hoax of a candidate when held up in contrast to those of us who do the real scientific research and doctoring to the priper standard and rogor of difficulty.
so i was a Rhodes interviewee too, i know a bit about it. They are usually reserved for undergrad applicants aspiring upwards, not med students already in med school and punching down (also begging the questionnof what was going wrong in his med school that he applied to leave it, and never returned- following a professor to columbia later instead, who protected him from the accountability of doing real work).
Also, his undergrad success has no bearing on if he was pushed through a different school of med school later- happems all the time and i was a professor involved in such matters for over a decade- you were not. He couldnt get a residency, gave up on medicine and never practiced medicine, which wasted all those scholarship dollars that other people gave him, like george soros did.
The "research" he did was subpar, and merely observational instead of empirical, and his oxford degree he skimped out of was done in 2 years instead the 4 years it usually takes to do it right (the time it takes to do real research). He was pushed through, and the rhodes was a part of that as it is a well known greasing operation to push people through as liberal prep to be useful idiots to power- and i know because i went through it myself with senators Cory Booker and Andrew Kim:
I remember, so glad 2 see your doing well MT
@RickAddante: U interviewed me 4 the Rhodes in '04, & left a lasting impression. Been a while.
