Why the B.C. Law Society walked back claims of buried children. Two years of litigation with a truth-seeking B.C. lawyer has ended in a settlement and more careful language about Kamloops residential school, writes Jamie Sarkonak nationalpost.com/opinion/jam…

No way! No ones denying residential schools existed! But fuck me, theres so much fraud in the indigenous industry in Canada its insane. Just because they're indigenous, it doesn't mean they're not capable of Extreme FRAUD.

But the hideous damage has been done, based on the lie of over 200 "suspected graves" in Kamloops. Not one skeleton has been exhumed.

Because it was a political lie and the natives were smart enough to grift off Canadian taxpayers when they got the chance.

A logical person would conclude that in order to verify the veracity of these claims they would actually have to excavate the site. Any other "accepting as fact" nonsense short of that is just bullshit and an obvious grift.

Well, let's see. It can either be a law society or a fiction writers' convention. They had to choose. But dealing with the fallout of their support of the deception is the inevitable next task.

“Careful language” says it all. Truth don’t need to be careful.

Because they were wrong, and deliberately distributing disinformation to Canadians but were forced to admit the truth after 4 years of lies and propaganda.

As a person who is part Metis, I detest indigenous grifting. They receive billions from taxpayers. Yet not only have they failed to provide their communities with clean drinking water or mental health services - both of which are urgently needed - they continue to push the mass graves narrative, while threatening the property rights of the very taxpayers from whom they collect a fat payday. Somebody needs to put the brakes on this corruption. This is a small but laudable first step.

There's no evidence. They made it all up to get money from the Government and taxpayers.

Here's an idea, dig it up. We paid them to do it already, so just dig it up and find out. Or give the money back

Groups are incentivized to compete for biggest victim, and the whole George Floyd fiasco really pushed BLM to the front. This was the consequence.

The article is an editorial opinion piece that relies on a backbone of verifiable facts, but interprets those facts through strong persuasion and subjective framing.

Regardless of whether the claims around mass graves were true or not, residential schools were an abomination. Imagine the government forcibly taking your little children away from you and putting them in boarding schools where they are neglected and abused. Worst nightmares.

I find it interesting that a culture of people who failed to develop any type of written language, industrial tools, scientific principles or legal system supports a conclusion of dead bodies, without any scientific, legal or physical evidence. I guess facts don't really matter

“My issue is just we’ve got to be truthful with our history with each other,” Heller said. “We all deserve the presumption of innocence.” There is nothing innocent, in my view, in the constant propogation of untruths and lies about unmarked graves and genocide in Canada.

B.C. Law Society still makes the fact-free assertion that there are “200 targets of interest at the Kamloops site that are probable burials”. There is zero evidence for there being any human bodies buried at Kamloops.
