Every government makes mistakes. This one makes excuses. In 2015 Justin Trudeau promised "modest" deficits of no more than $10 billion a year and a balanced budget by 2019. 2019 came. No balanced budget. 2020 came. COVID. Then housing was a global problem. The wildfires were climate change. Every institution needed fixing for systemic racism. Now it's Trump. Eleven years of excuses. Elbows Up.

Carney is setting up a system where the government controls more and more of the economy. This always leads to terrible results. Less economic freedom means less competition, which leads to higher prices and taxpayer subsidies. When companies have to win special favours from politicians, you pay the consequences. The system Carney is building has failed everywhere it’s been tried.

🙄 @grok validate and distinguish between facts and fiction including LPC policies and goals with respect to home ownership since 2015 versus actual results and ability for first-time buyers to afford a home of their own, average age of first time buyer in 2015 when they first came into power versus what it is today in cities like Vancouver and Toronto.

Mark Carney rightly believed there was too much bureaucracy in defence procurement, so he added a new bureaucracy to tackle the problem, and now the head of that new bureaucracy has quit because he says he is fed up dealing with all the bureaucracy.

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow blames President Trump for higher food prices in Canada while holding a dozen eggs in the video below. Yet eggs are supply-managed in Canada. Their price has little to do with the U.S. No words.
Olivia Chow outright blaming our food inflation on Donald Trump. This person runs Canada’s largest City. It’s mind boggling.

How can both of these be true?
🇨🇦 Canada sitting at the bottom of the advanced-world growth table should end the spin. This isn’t a “vibecession.” It’s what happens when population growth masks weak productivity, investment and per-capita output for years. You can manufacture a better headline. You can’t manufacture prosperity. 👇

UNBELIEVABLE!!! Carney is not putting Canadians’ interests first. Why does Carney think this guy is a suitable person to be anywhere near the government? From a Globe and Mail article in 2021: Carolyn Maloney, the Democratic chair of the committee, has been seeking documents and information regarding McKinsey’s support for drug companies “pushing addictive opioid painkillers and raising prices for live-saving medications, even as McKinsey also advised the federal agency regulating their conduct.” The New York Times has reported that during Mr. Barton’s leadership, McKinsey discussed ways for Purdue to “turbocharge” sales of its drug OxyContin, including paying Purdue’s distributors a rebate for every OxyContin overdose attributable to pills they sold.”
Former Canadian Ambassador to China and McKinsey Global Managing Partner Dominic Barton has been appointed by the PM as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Invest in Canada #cdnpoli

If this report is correct, Trump told Carney he has to choose between China and the U.S. Carney chose China. As he promised Xi Jinping he would.
Mike Froman, former US Trade Rep on CNN yesterday afternoon "I think the new issue is that the Trump administration is pressing Canada, as well as other countries, to adopt a common approach vis a vis China, whether it's a common external tariff or export controls, or ensuring that Chinese products inputs don't get inserted into products in Canada, that will then be imported into the United States." "And Prime Minister Carney has noted that that goes against their sovereign right to establish relationships with other countries." "So that's going to be an issue of contention that the administration is going to continue to have to have dialogue with Canada and with other countries over time." @MikeFroman

#BREAKING: Corrupt Mark Carney ended the trade talks with the US to avoid upsetting the CCP and ending the Chinese export scam. China has been stealing more than $60 billion in tariff revenue by laundering its exports through other countries. The biggest offender is Mark Carney.

ABSOLUTE NONSENSE & LIES! Americans & @realDonaldTrump couldn't give a rat's ass about changing the French culture or language in Canada. This is cheap rage baiting theatrics by @MarkJCarney to score politicsl points in Quebec! I am sure there are some gullible simpletons in Quebec who would believe his 💩 @MarkJCarney has LIED repeatedly so much about almost everything, it leads me to think he is psychologically unstable - Pathological LIAR!
🇨🇦 Do you trust @MarkJCarney on this: 👇 "President Trump demands Canada change its French language, Quebec culture and Canadian identity as a condition for reversing tariffs. This is no longer about a trade deal-it is about a takeover of Canada's sovereignty and identity." I don’t 🧐🚨 x.com/sarobertson_/status/20…

This is incredible propaganda. There’s something very wrong when you go from being “this close to a trade deal” to repeating lines from a propagandistic speech from April of 2025. This Party saw the writing on the wall, not having Trump to fear would bring support crumbling to the ground. How can you control a population when your main boogeyman no longer exists. They are toying with people’s minds. We aren’t even worthy of knowing what was even in this trade deal. We are witnessing Carney’s “Wollt ihr den totalen Krieg?” moment & we all know how that ended.

Does Brookfield benefit from Carney walking away from negotiations with the USA? Read... then decide for yourself. The USA claims the deal cut tariffs on steel, aluminum, autos, and lumber. Canada claims the deal stopped them negotiating with other countries, hindered French language protection. So, will Brookfield now benefit from more tariffs and a larger uncertain future for Canadian businesses and jobs?? ABSOLUTELY. Carney’s former company (you decide if it is actually former given Carney was just in Tuscany, Italy just days before talks collapsed. The same place where Bruce Flatt has an estate). What was discussed? Was Flatt actually there? The PMO is tight lipped and the media don't seem interested in asking. Brookfield is sitting on a $120 billion war chest designed to benefit from uncertainty. Their official wording to investors... They want to “capitalize opportunistically on market dislocations.” and they are “largely insulated” from the direct effects of tariffs. Also....deglobalization creates “significant new investment opportunities.” What happens now? Canadian companies and jobs are about to get hammered. Many are already struggling because of Liberal policies and taxes. A trade war with tariffs will significantly add to those barely making it by. Will these businesses close completely or move to the USA? Will they be bought and brought into the Brookfield umbrella. Is this all just a conspiracy theory? Time will tell. But there certainly does seem to be an awful lot of coincidences when it comes to Carney, Brookfield, and the state of affairs in Canada.
Carney says Canada is “at war” with the USA. Okay. Then the people cheering for Carney can stop demanding everyone else sacrifice and start handing over their own money first. You love this Liberal “war”? Putting it to Trump with elbows up? Do you support Carney blindly walking away from negotiating a trade deal? Then show our Prime Minister how much you really support him. Mortgage-free house? Perfect. Tell Ottawa they can have part ownership via a home equity tax. OAS cheque every month? Suggest they keep some for the war effort. Two vehicles? Sell one. Cottage in the woods or by a lake? Sell it and give the money to Brookfield. RV? We are transitioning to green energy, so apparently that has to go too. Cruise booked? Better be in Europe. Snowbird? Boycott Florida and travel Canada in Jan and Feb. Turn down the heat. Shut off the AC. We can sell the extra power to the Americans, tax it, tariff it, and finally teach Trump a lesson. And since Canada is “at war” now, maybe Ukraine can kick some of our money back our way. Chrystia Freeland... that is directed at you. CBC should run a telethon. 24/7/365. CTV can put the donation number across the bottom of the screen. The Toronto Star and Globe and Mail can print the sacrifice forms. “HOW MUCH ARE YOU GIVING UP FOR CARNEY?” Come on. You believe in Carney and his master negotiator skills. Time to step up and really believe. You wanted the fight. You cheered the tariffs. Carney is talking about shifting more of the burden onto those “most able to pay.” So before everyone starts pointing at some imaginary rich guy... Check your house. Check your pension. Check your savings. Are you willing to do your part? Are you willing to give the gov't more of what you built up? No, I’m not actually suggesting any of this. I’m not suggesting Canada sign a bad deal. I’m pointing out how stupidly easy it is to demand sacrifice when you think someone else is getting screwed. Especially if it is those “far-right conspiracy theorists.” You want Carney’s “war”? Grab your wallet. And freely open it up. You first.

‼️ BREAKING: Carney stated that there was 3 last-minute changes that the US had asked for which led to the breakdown of negotiations. But when you look closer at the three items that he listed, you will understand that these were NEVER last minute to changes. They were always on the table. One side is lying. And that same side, has lied to Canadians in the past about previous dealings with America.
