Wing T is the best offense, trap is the best play.

New Jersey, USA
Nix is taking the Derek Carr arc in a better environment. ▫️2nd year leap with debatable stats and too reliant on comebacks. ▫️Check down Charlie accusations ▫️Broken bone ends streak of team playing well ▫️QB coach/friend becomes play caller next season and doesn’t play as well.

Easy to see this after his SF presser. But, hard to believe he does it when that game was on Bo more than Webb. And I doubt he wants to take responsibility for whatever this offense does against Seattle on a short week. I would bet he takes over on this mini bye before AZ
People around the league think Broncos HC Sean Payton won't wait too much longer to take playcalling back from OC Davis Webb, per @DanGrazianoESPN

Posted about this chart earlier but wanted to also say: It is so annoying how this team has had good underlying rushing metrics for 3 straight years and their run game is still bad. This team has a good coaching staff and apparently a good GM. How is this not getting fixed?
Run game consistency through week 4👇 4+ yard rate vs. stuff rate (0 yards or fewer). Which offenses consistently create productive runs while avoiding plays that go nowhere? Upper left = good Lower right = room to improve

So Denver is 6th lowest in stuff rate, and about 10th in 4+ yard rush rate. And despite that, their RBs are averaging 3.6 ypc and 23rd in success rate. I think we've found the problem.

Optimistic outlook: the run game has been methodical against a brutal opening stretch of games. As the defensive quality of their schedule eases up, maybe they can convert some of these into explosives.

Pessimistic outlook: the OL is doing its job for the most part, but JK is washed, RJ still cant make plays between the tackles, and this offense *really* needs rookie Jonah Coleman off a sprained ankle to carry the run game.

I am no QB/passing game guru, but rewatching the SF game, I was reminded of this article from preseason, about how the staff wanted Bo to pace his dropbacks better so he could time the top of his drops with the route concepts espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/4968…

Specifically these parts of the article Felt like Bo was deliberate in his dropbacks to accomplish this, and was actually pretty consistent with it But then for whatever reason, he was not comfortable with what he was seeing at the top of those drops.

He's had worse but this might have been the most frustrating/depressing one.
Every time I refresh my timeline I see another clip. All in all I think that’s the worst overall game I’ve ever seen him play.

Saw Nick's post earlier today, but circling back after seeing FPI's top 4 teams
The #Broncos opponents the first four weeks of the season are a combined 13-3 11-1 if you take away the games vs Denver… with that one loss being LAR v SF so barring tie someone had to lose About as brutal as we thought it would be when the schedule was announced

Totally get the doomposting with how Bo has started the season, but I'm not throwing in the towel on this season by any means

Let me know where I can get those odds, Chris!
The 0-4 Los Angeles Chargers are an early 2.5 point favorite at home Sunday vs. the 2-2 #Broncos.

I hope he is referring to the intermediate/MOF missed targets as "underneath" here. Otherwise, this is bleak.
On if the 49ers defense limited QB Bo Nix’s downfield passing “I think to your first point, and we had seen this on tape, they did a pretty good job of staying on top of some of the deeper throws and [that is] part of what they’re trying to do defensively. So I think coming away from that game tape, I think the feeling overall was just more yardage underneath in different ways that I think we feel like we could have taken a little bit more advantage of.”

Really annoying the offense laid an egg yesterday because I think the defensive performance, while not the sexiest or statistically impressive, was one of the more inspired performances by this unit over the Vance Joseph era. And it will be completely forgotten.

They flagged a similar play in the Broncos/9ers game as OPI too. We need to get out ahead of this: CBs taking a charge like this is basketball to draw OPI needs to get out of my sport ASAP.
One of the routes of all time

Best start of the season on O so far; Waddle gotta make that catch. 1st and 10 holding kills the drive. Couple checkdowns id be curious to see the A22 on. Solid drive tho

You can set your watch to the 2026 Broncos setting 1st and 2nd down on fire
The Broncos did not pick up a first down on first- or second-down play today until there was 1:23 left in the third quarter, a sign of an offense that just isn't explosive enough right now to create enough scoring opportunities.

That felt like a 2017-2021 Broncos game where the defense plays well and the offense is horrible on the way to an annoying loss.

Trust their actions not their words
Kris Abrams-Draine was working outside on the series at the end of the first half with PS2 injured. Jahdae Barron working as the dime back.
