For those thinking Man City will get a lenient punishment like Chelsea did, that simply won’t be the case.
The PL convinced an IC Panel that Chelsea (a) did not gain any Sporting Advantage, (b) they were no longer owned/run by the perpetrators, and (c) they were very compliant (even self-reporting).
Man City’s case is the opposite of those 3 factors.
1) They gained a monstrous sporting advantage. Hundreds upon hundreds of millions over PSR limits.
2) They are still owned / run by the people that did it.
3) They have gone to extreme lengths to avoid justice. They hid it all (only an email hack caught them - the rules could not).
They refused to comply with the investigation.
They committed perjury at CAS.
I’ll do a fuller post later tonight but the reality is the punishments will be as serious as they come.

Cules need to realize that even if the Negreira case somehow got dismissed for lack of evidence in the end that’d make zero difference for anyone who isn’t a Barca fan, as soon they made those payments anyone with any sort of common sense concluded their guilt.
This is is like a politician trying to argue that millions being poured into their campaign have no quid pro quo😂you have to literally be brain damaged to believe that.
barça fans biggest argument regarding negreira is that the case is taking too long and the reason for it is has to lack of evidence for a conviction. what happened with city just proves cases can drag forever and that it doesn’t mean there’s nothing to it

When people bring up Pep‘s scandals, why does no one ever talk about doping? He was busted as a player for Nandrolone, and he brought Dr. Ramon Segura (the guy who was overseeing his Nandrolone regiment) to Barcelona to run a doping program at the club. Not to mention that Barça hired a doctor from the U.S. Postal Service cycling team aka Lance Armstrong‘s cycling team.
