Below is an open letter I sent you, that I also wanted to share with the world: it explains why I'll personally forever be grateful to you. Dear Tim, You once told us the world needs us in the arena. For 15 years, you’ve fought in that arena. As you step away to the sidelines today, just remember the immense impact you had while you were in it. We've never met, but I wanted to send you a note to say thank you. Why? For many reasons, but chiefly for the Apple Watch. In 20 years of covering technology, this is the product that will forever resonate with me as truly game-changing in ways other consumer technology products cannot be. 6 years ago, I had a heart attack after Thanksgiving, and the Apple Watch saved my life several times, and then proved to be an incredibly powerful companion in getting me back to good health. I've often said to people that Apple has done many great things, but the greatest is the Apple Watch. As you said, it's the biggest impact Apple has ever had on humanity, and the millions of lives saved would not have been possible with any other product. The current focus on health, both as an industry and as humanity, would also not have been possible without the industry you and your team kickstarted, and I will forever be grateful that you chose to bring this product to market. 40 years from now, when I'm hopefully still alive, I'll still forever be an Apple Watch fan. Money comes and goes, market cap fluctuates, and political winds blow in multiple directions, but this is a legacy that no one can ever deny. Congratulations on 15 incredible years you deserve to be lauded for, and for doing what few thought possible: picking up the mantle from Steve Jobs and leading Apple from strength to strength. I wish you the best in your new role. Thank you again! If there's ever a doubt that it was worth everything, I hope this email and the many others remind you of just how many lives you helped save.

Can’t wait for this! For those that don’t know, iPhone Handoff doesn't move your number between iPhones Both phones are live on the network the whole time. The second iPhone still receives calls and texts, but doesn’t notify you I spoke to a carrier who broke down the details: • each iPhone keeps its own eSIM identity under one number • the network serves both at once, constantly • the "inactive" phone stays attached and keeps receiving • your iPhone suppresses the call on-device, not the network • unlocking a handset is what makes it the live one • if both are unlocked, the most recently used one takes priority • a call in progress will never jump mid-call • carriers have to build new architecture for this, it’s not as simple as just switching something on Only T-Mobile and Telekom support it as of today, more carriers coming soon!

As ridiculous as this is, at least these brands think it and they make it happen. One might call it innovation or something like that

You don’t get charged for breaking a rule that hadn’t been written yet. That’s not a stitch-up. That’s just time. And they weren’t some random club throwing oil money at the market. They were already the biggest club in the country, selling out Old Trafford, winning leagues, raking in Champions League cash and commercial deals. They spent what they were earning. Van Nistelrooy, Verón and Rio in a year and a half looks mad now, but it came off the back of a club that was already loaded because it had been successful for a decade. City’s problem was never “they bought good players.” Lots of clubs do that. The row is whether the money they said they earned was actually earned, or whether it was the owner dressing up his own cash as sponsorship. That’s a different argument. Pretending it’s the same as Ferguson buying Rio from a broke Leeds is just lazy. And no, the rules did not suddenly appear the day City won the league. Everton got docked points. Forest got docked points. Chelsea have been fined. None of that is a title-winning plot. If this was only about punishing City for winning, those other cases wouldn’t exist. United spent big before the rules. City spent big after them. One is history. The other is why there’s a case.

This is silly. Don’t give AI info you don’t want AI to have. I highly doubt that Muse has the ability to infiltrate anything on the device containing the user’s address, unless the user put it in the Muse environment or connected a service exposing it. I’m not blaming the user. And certainly, Meta should have better controls or guardrails to prevent this from happening, if the user DID expose the data while NOT giving explicit permission for Muse to divulge it. But if you don’t want nudes of yourself online, don’t upload them to the internet. That’s a good rule of thumb here.
