I used to be the night manager at a hotel, ended up getting fired for falling asleep on the job. I'm a night owl but working overnights takes a toll over time.

If you're a natural night owl, it's a lot easier to adapt. It's NOT for everyone. People who can work graveyard are just wired different. I like the overnight shifts way way way better than anything on the day. But I've watched people wash out after a night or two, also

Did this for 3 years. Weed helps but if you don't have the right constitution you're fucked. Years later temp agencies tried to give me night jobs with no shift differential, I laughed so hard into the phone.

Night shifts are legit painful. You get used to it and it gets somewhat easier but good luck maintaining any social contacts or a normal life.

i worked nightshift for 1 week during my Christmas break in college. it was interesting the first 2 days but the novelty wore off and you realize that everyone was miserable at work except for 1 or 2 guys who are weird

ya those first two weeks are something, then its ok for a month, then u get hit in the second month. then u gotta figure out summer... :) i still sleep with earplugs on. im not working nights no more lol... cant sleep withjout :) good money tho. roll those sleves up.
