Coca Cola is cleaner than your tap water. Coca Cola is often made with reverse osmosis water which means near-zero forever chemicals, heavy metals and pharmaceuticals. U.S. tap water contains elevated PFAS, arsenic, chromium, nitrates, disinfection byproducts and radioactive elements regularly above health benchmarks.

Except when it is put in plastic bottles it leaches micro/nano particles out of the lining and into the product which ends up in your cojones and breast milk.

Bad advice. RO strips the minerals out of water so then those minerals get leeched out of your bones.

This argument kind of falls apart when they deliberately add toxins back to it after cleaning the water.

If that’s true, then aren’t all the bottled waters clean too? Dasani, Sam’s choice, etc. all use reverse osmosis for their water.

RO filters are only as clean as the membrane maintenance, and coke's own sugar and acid do more measurable harm than trace arsenic.

I'd take trace amounts of arsenic over macro amounts of HFCS any day. 👎👎 Wtf, @oasishealthapp?

The framing falls apart though! Comparing trace-level industrial contaminants in tap water to a beverage that delivers about 39 grams of added sugar per can isn't really an apples-to-apples 'which is cleaner' question. Regular soda consumption is tied to type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular risk at a scale that dwarfs the marginal risk from most tap water contaminant levels.
