I wished I moved all out to sturdy abroad after graduating with a 4.0 in 2013 got YALI RLC west Africa in 2016 rather than focusing on this thing called entrepreneurship. I've made terrible mistakes but above all I'll still bounce back no regrets just lessons
I needed an MSc for promotion at my workplace because I was a Research Officer at a Research institute in Nigeria. I did not want to study my MSc. in Nigeria. I bought an MSc form for FUNAAB in 2020. I was admitted but refused to resume the program. I saw the TICAD7 Scholarship at Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology in Egypt on the Nigerian Ministry of Education portal. I checked the research areas of all the Engineering departments because one of the requirements for the scholarship is a proposal. I prepared the proposal on "Supplementary cementitious materials" for a research area titled "Green Technology". Then, I was invited for an interview, and I had it. A few months later, I was awarded the Scholarship for Fall 2021. I did not get an Egyptian visa to resume in that semester, and the school deferred my admission to Spring 2022. The program improved me a lot. I had my first opportunity to travel to Germany in 2023 for a 2-week research training at the University of Duisburg-Essen and Paderborn University. I published my MSc. research findings in Q1 and Q2 Journals.

Two Bangladeshis were executed in Saudi Arabia over an alleged “immoral act” inside a mosque in Makkah. But what exactly did they do? And what did Bangladesh do to help them before their executions? #Bangladesh #SaudiArabia #HumanRights #Makkah #TheVex

This is all shades of wrong. How dump can people be because of religion? No empathy!
Look at the ANIMALS in Turkey. Radical Jihadist Pigs in Turkey. Disgusting, today in Turkey Israeli woman who is running medical tourism trips from Israel to Turkey and had been targeted for days by radical Islamist groups. Her name was being shared everywhere, and she had been followed for days. Today she was cornered in a shopping mall, physically assaulted, and abused.

At the age of 6 or 7, this little girl is placing soil into the graves of both her mother and father. The "crime" committed by her parents was that they had kissed each other while filming a video (a "reel") inside a mosque in Saudi Arabia.
Community note
The video is from May 2026 and depicts a girl at her father's funeral in an unrelated context, not connected to the two Bangladeshis executed in Saudi Arabia for an indecent act in a mosque. khaleejtimes.com/world/gulf/sau… x.com/ab12o3/status/

My dear Muslim brothers and sisters Racism towards Arabs, especially to 🇸🇦, leads to kufr. Be careful of takfir and accusing anyone of zina. These are heinous offences. Fear Allah. You are free to apologize under my post or DM, I'm forgiving, since us Saudis have best character

The Arab slave trade trafficked over 20 million Africans into the Middle East. But today, there are hardly any Black populations in some of those countries. And it is not because they returned home. No. The reason is far darker than you imagine. The first thing Arabs did when they captured enslaved African men was castrate them. Their testicles were crushed between rocks. Sometimes the penis was cut as well. Thousands died from the procedure. This ensured that these men could never father children with enslaved women. It also meant they could never have children with their own women. They were stripped of their ability to reproduce, denied the chance to build families, and worked to death.

Please check on your people once in a while. People are silently going through a lot in Naija. There’s this bolt driver who happened to carry me on my first trip to Abuja during my JAPA journey. While talking, I discovered we both graduated from same school and even the same department (but he graduated two years before me). That was how we just connected and anytime I go to Abuja, he would be the one to drive me round till I finally left Nigeria. Once in a while we would just talk on call. I woke up this morning and it was his message I first saw on WhatsApp. Too many things I can’t even say here. I just had to call him, encourage him and sent him the small ₦70K in my Opay account. Before family man go cry on call, you go know say water dun pass garri. 🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿

99% of women and girls in Somalia have been mutilated in the following way: the clitoris is cut off, along with the inner labia. Then the inner flesh of the outer labia is removed before both sides are sewn tightly together, leaving a hole no bigger than a matchstick for urine and menses to trickle through. All of this is done in childhood, and without any form of anesthesia whatsoever. Sometimes the little girl is given a scrap of leather or a stick to bite down on. The cutters use old razor blades, or sometimes a piece of broken glass. This is only the beginning of a girl’s pain. Most wedding nights in Somalia are aided by “the little knife” — that is, the new husband slices his bride open so that he can penetrate her now cut and bleeding scar tissue. Some men, however, simply batter their way through, tearing that tiny hole open by sheer force. When a woman goes into labor, she’s cut open more widely, then sewn back up afterwards so that when sex resumes she will have to be cut open yet again. This practice leads to countless deaths from infection and a drastic increase in maternal mortality, but Somali men still refuse to marry uncut women, forcing mothers to have their daughters cut or face social stigma. Uncut girls are seen as dirty; the term for clitoris is a playground taunt in Somalia, and girls who are not cut are usually ostracized by their peers. The Somali government recently debated the legality of this appalling custom, and the parliament largely split along gender lines. Female MPs roundly condemned FGM, while male MPs insisted that having a clitoris made a woman more difficult to penetrate, and quoted the hadith in which Muhammad condoned the practice. These are educated men who nevertheless claim that cutting a girl is necessary in order to control her sexuality, and that an uncut woman will be promiscuous and untrustworthy. In spite of the Somali government’s continued support for FGM, foreign aid continues to flow into Somalia unobstructed. The West should refuse to give the Somali government so much as a single dollar until they outlaw FGM and take positive steps to combat the problem. One tactic that has been highly successful involves showing Somali men a video of a girl being mutilated. Because FGM is seen as women’s business, most men have no idea what it entails. Men who watch this video are horrified, and the most common reaction has been “Not my daughter!” This proves that FGM is not hopelessly entrenched in Somali culture. Western pressure and resources could make an enormous difference in the lives of Somali women and girls, and put a stop to this barbaric practice.

FG Disburses ₦658.9bn To 10.46 Million Poor Households As World Bank Calls For Improved Cash Transfers The Federal Government has reportedly paid ₦658.9bn in direct cash transfers to 10.46 million poor and vulnerable households as of September 2026, but the World Bank has called for improvements to ensure the programme provides more effective and sustained relief. The recommendation was contained in the bank’s latest Nigeria Development Update, titled ‘Beyond the Federal Purse: How Higher Revenues Shaped State Priorities’, which examined economic conditions and measures to cushion Nigerians against financial hardship. According to the report, the government deployed biometric and digital verification systems to identify eligible beneficiaries and facilitate payments under the cash transfer programme. While acknowledging the reported disbursement, the World Bank stressed that the programme’s impact would depend on reaching more households, providing sufficient financial assistance and ensuring payments are made consistently. “Social protection and service delivery can help cushion households against these pressures, though their effectiveness will continue to depend on coverage, adequacy, and continuity,” the report stated. The bank urged the authorities to accelerate efforts to expand the programme, improve the value of payments and ensure regular disbursements to strengthen its contribution to household welfare. It also called on the Federal Government and state governments to establish a sustainable funding structure for social protection, warning against continued dependence on emergency interventions. “Building on this progress, the next step is to move from an emergency response toward a regular, sustainable social protection system, with dedicated budget lines at the federal and state levels, gradually increasing financing from government resources, and a shared overarching vision,” the report added. According to the World Bank, predictable funding and coordinated action by both levels of government would help ensure vulnerable Nigerians receive consistent assistance rather than relying on temporary relief measures.
