The decisions we have taken to reposition Nigeria’s oil and gas sector are beginning to bear fruit. Since assuming office, I have signed a series of Presidential Directives and Executive Orders to make investment in Nigeria more competitive, reduce the cost and time required to develop projects, provide greater certainty to investors and ensure that our natural resources deliver greater value to our people. One of those reforms introduced specific incentives to unlock onshore and shallow-water gas projects that had remained undeveloped for years. Today, we are seeing the result. AMNI International and TotalEnergies have taken an $800 million Final Investment Decision to develop the Ima Gas Field, discovered in 1973 and left underground for more than fifty years. For Nigerians, this means work for our engineers, technicians and contractors. It means opportunities for Nigerian businesses, jobs and economic activity in our host communities, and more export earnings for our country. AMNI, a Nigerian company, holds the majority interest in the project. Around 60% of the development workforce is expected to come from the host communities. Ima is expected to produce about 350 million cubic feet of gas every day at peak and supply about one-third of the gas required for the expansion of Nigeria LNG. This is what our reforms are intended to achieve, to move Nigeria’s resources from potential to production and translate them into jobs, incomes and opportunity for our people. We have more to unlock. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President

Tinubu check your workers. They are all theives
A list of people appointed by @officialABAT who work for him, along with their criminal records: First, I will start with the President of Nigeria himself. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu forfeited $400,000 to the US government from accounts alleged to be tied to a heroin-trafficking ring. Jolly Nyame (former Taraba State governor) was convicted of diverting about 1.64 billion in state funds. He is now on Tinubu’s 2027 campaign council. Joshua Dariye (former Plateau State governor) was convicted of looting approximately 1.2 billion in state funds. He is also on Tinubu's 2027 campaign council. Ngozi Olejeme (former NSITF chair): In 2025, the EFCC caught her in possession of about 1 billion naira in proceeds from unlawful activities. She is now a zonal director for the 2027 campaign council. Betta Edu (former Humanitarian Affairs Minister): @edu_betta was suspended in 2024 after directing the transfer of 585 million naira in grants, meant for vulnerable groups, into a private account. She has now been appointed to lead women's mobilization on the 2027 campaign council. Ayodele Oke: The @officialEFCC found $43 million, £28,000, and 23 million naira in his Ikoyi apartment in 2017. He has been nominated as an ambassador. Abdulaziz Yari (former Zamfara State governor): The EFCC arrested him in connection with an 84 billion naira case. He is now the Director-General of the 2027 campaign. Godswill Akpabio (Senate President): The EFCC investigated @Senator_Akpabio for the diversion of 100 billion naira during his tenure as the governor of Akwa Ibom State. Femi Gbajabiamila (Chief of Staff): @femigbaja is known to have taken a 400 million naira bribe in exchange for an appointment letter. Bello Matawalle (Minister of State for Defence): @bellomatawalle1 is currently under EFCC investigation for the alleged diversion of about ₦70 billion. Ibrahim Shehu Shema (Chairman, Federal Capital Development Authority): He faced two major corruption cases involving the alleged embezzlement of ₦11 billion and the misappropriation of ₦5.7 billion. I intentionally didn't mention Wike. @GovWike @SERAPNigeria, I want to know: according to Nigerian law, should ex-convicts, people facing court cases, and individuals with criminal records hold public office just so they can steal more? Why @PeterObi and Atiku Abubakar are not saying anything about this? I wonder how Peter Obi, Atiku, or Omoyele Sowore think they will win when the people working for Tinubu are experienced criminals. Even the current INEC Chairman, appointed by Tinubu, is being accused of tweeting in support of the APC.

Your $800m gas headline cannot cover a nation still hungry, kidnapped and terrorised. Deals signed in Abuja mean little when villages cannot sleep and markets cannot open. You skipped the UN summit, lingering abroad were their presidents stood for their people. A leader missing on the world stage has already failed at home. Just like your condemnation on slain Nigerian children by the NCDC is cheap. How many killers have been arrested or prosecuted? You swore to protect citizens. Words without justice are another betrayal. #WakeUpNigerians

x.com/jezebelreborn/status/2… Fifty years underground, and you’re presenting it as your achievement? The real test is simple. will Nigerians actually see jobs, cheaper energy and improved living standards? Announcements don’t put food on the table, results do. You have failed Resign now
2012: Tinubu opposed fuel subsidy removal. 2023: As President, he removed it, leaving Nigerians to bear the crushing cost. And now Nigerians are asking: if the subsidy is gone, where is the money going? Allegations of continued corruption and diversion of public funds must be investigated and accounted for. From opposing subsidy removal to implementing it, the contradiction is glaring.

Mr President @officialABAT, the investment is a welcome development, but Nigeria oil and gas development must not come at the expense of our aquatic ecosystems and artisanal fisherfolk. For decades, oil exploration and spills have degraded mangroves, creeks, rivers and fishing grounds, threatening fish populations and the livelihoods of coastal communities. Development must mean more than extracting wealth from beneath our waters; it must also protect the living resources within them. Thanks for your attention on this matter #ProtectOurSharks #ProtectOurOcean

Mr president sir. When you came into power fuel was 180 Naira per litre, three years into your government, fuel is now 1400 Naira per litre. The decisions you took, was selfish, wicked, anti the Nigerian people. You sir, do not care what happens to the people of Nigeria, all you care about is how you can remain in power. Your reforms are evil. Fuels subsidy was never the problem, the problems was the corruption in fuel subsidy. I know your data boys will mute this X but let it be clear not all Nigerians are dump, foolish and cowards. #Nigeria
