Three years since October 7, 2023. We remember the lives stolen by Palestinian Hamas. We honor the heroes. We carry the scars. And still, we stand. We rebuild. We live. We choose hope. Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱 #UNFORGO7TEN

Our upcoming paper, written by @HM_Kucharski, has had an exclusive feature in the Telegraph. Read to discover the headline findings on the effects of migration on native wages. Vital research by a brilliant budding economist.

We will never uncover the full truth about the grooming gangs if we avoid talking about the 'identities of perpetrators'. These crimes were covered up because hundreds of people in the police and local government wanted to avoid uncomfortable truths, or accusations of racism.
Today I am renewing my calls on Birmingham authorities to eradicate the scourge of group-based child sexual exploitation in Birmingham. Our city has nothing to hide. We must be open and transparent, with a focus on victims and survivors - not the identities of perpetrators.

The idea that Hislop/Private Eye are the Ministry of Truth is beyond parody. He’s delusional.
Older people are now reading "a lot of chatbot rubbish" and that's "dangerous." After four decades at Private Eye, Ian Hislop tells #Newsnight it's not just young people falling for disinformation and why it "is always worth correcting."

Obviously a massive, massive story in the UK after the police reported themselves to watchdog over failure to originally probe the Farage attack in April 2025 - something many who should know better dismissed as spin Awaiting trial but a horrid twist to an already tragic saga

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

This is a sitting MP spewing overt (and palpably stupid) conspiracy theories that he knows will be lapped up by his followers. The degradation of parliament and the public sphere by this sort of rhetoric is a serious threat to British democracy
I am genuinely shocked as to the speed of this enquiry by the Israeli spokespeople!!! Normally it takes them months if not years. I think i smell a rat! bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqgm…

Does dragging us back into the EU pass the ‘Makerfield test’? It voted Leave by 65%. Which is why Burnham had to pretend he didn’t want to rejoin in order to get himself elected. For all the phoney workerism of this conference, Labour is still a middle-class party telling working-class people to get back in their box.

It's kind of funny how, as the Left lost the workers, they started finding endless Fascists in the working class. Meanwhile, they somehow missed antisemitism becoming a badge of radicalism in their own ranks. compactmag.com/article/the-m…

Unless you are one of the many millions of people who worked in a dignified and important job that was shipped abroad in the last generation. None of the commentariat would understand. None of them suffered.
'Everything in Britain was great until the 1980s when it suddenly went to shit' remains an utterly baffling narrative on every single level.

The dogmatic obsession with the EU really is a bizarre feature of the modern Labour Party -- completely out of step with its history and, I would argue, any frank recognition of what's been happening (or about to happen) in the EU itself. The idea that we *must* be in the EU (and give up national economic planning powers) to grow betrays such a lack of imagination about economic policy.
Moving closer to the EU is “essential” to “stand proud in the world and secure growth”, says minister Bridget Phillipson. “It was over ten years ago now that our country voted for Brexit. It hasn't delivered the benefits that were promised." @BPhillipsonMP @JPonPolitics
