We couldn’t match @Pxfarms armada of 5 in a field, but this has more historic value. Leading the pack is a CLAAS SF from 1953, this combine was the first (of 3) SF combines to arrive in UK, sold by Bill Mann to Elveden Farms in Suffolk. 60hp, 10’ cut, 4 t/hr. Still working…

Second in line is the 200,000th Combine ever produced by CLAAS, 32 years after production started in 1936. It was presented on 16th August 1968 by August Claas to Mr & Mrs John Steven, farmers in the Scottish Borders. We have nicknamed the combine SENATOR STEVEN in his memory.

Very sad news to come out of Lincolnshire yesterday morning. Well known Boston farmer James Grant passed away after a short illness. James was a great character, chairman of the Witham Fourth District IDB for 16 years and has done so much for farming in Lincolnshire and beyond and will be missed greatly. RIP James.
