Uganda Police and the above need to hire someone to help them to cook up cases professionally. How can we give you all those resources and an entire weekend to yourself, only to come up with an infantile case of ‘using your mother’s simcard’! Even a P7 student with an eighth of your resources would have cooked up a better case that doesn’t embarrass the country this much. Remember you are representing us. Now headlines are reading: ‘Uganda imprisons 25-year old girl for using her mother’s simcard’! So you took time to draw a strategy, had to invest all the trapping machinery, a carpet washer, a fueled ‘drone’, well fed soldiers trained for war, police officers at CPS, a highly educated police spokesperson, a state prosecutor, … to come up with: “she was in possession of her mother’s simcard”! Why, at least, didn’t you consult Bad Black for some advice that wouldn’t cause us such international embarrassment! So you had to ambush the young girl, capture her, slap her, threaten her, give her one meal for the weekend, and later remand her for two weeks, for using her mother’s simcard! All this done by old educated men and women, older than her parents, and, apparently, parents themselves!! Please, next time you want to cook up something, consult among people with some operational gray matter. Many are willing to assist, in national interest. These cases are very important for the country’s progress. Our primary schools are open, and there are plenty of pupils there that would have given sound advice for free.

Someone with collusion of a few Jinja council officials closed off a road and turned it into a factory. He needs a 3 phase line in a surbub so @UEDCLTD put it on the small poles available. The result is lines crossing and shorting constantly leaving us in continual darkness.

The preacher's message today: Goliath becomes bigger and more fearsome viewed with lenses of fear, but a boy who saw who he really was through the lens of God saw an already defeated evil man.

Museveni’s Uganda is "is degenerating into something darker and more despotic. The state once sought to cover its abuses with a veneer of constitutional legitimacy. 'Now we have a rabid, unapologetic, in-your-face dictatorship.'” trib.al/u9XPSFz

I remember when NRM apologists were all over, castigating us for using the word 'abduction' to describe the horrific state-led enforced disappearances of our people in those unmarked vehicles. "The state does not abduct, it arrests", they coldy said. Many went as far as mocking the victims, eagerly regurgitating the propaganda of regime officials who claimed that the abducted and missing had traveled abroad for kyeeyo! Now, as the machinery turns and more of their own are targeted, their vocabulary has suddenly caught up with the reality—they are loudly calling for an end to "abductions, kidnaps, and seizures." Isn't it tragic that some people must first experience oppression firsthand just to recognize it? Should it take personal victimization for one to develop a conscience?

Does @URAuganda or @mofpedU or @BOU_Official know the illegal percentage interest rates that various companies are charging Ugandans for loans received on their phone lines? Some of these figures add up to as much as 30% per month (not year)!!!

Nobody should be surprised that Museveni’s brutal son would consider anybody who is not from his specific ethnic origin a second-class citizen! By calling his brother-in-law - who he is always at odds with - a 'Muhutu', he is telling you how exactly he views those who don't belong to his tribe. Those who have eyes and ears know that this has been the unstated foundational policy and belief of the Museveni family rule. They now have a reckless, entitled son who is bold enough to say it publicly! Like I have repeatedly said, you just need to sit down with several victims of abductions and torture and listen to the kind of ethnic or religious profiling (in the case of muslims) they're subjected to in those torture chambers. In the case of NUP supporters, if they're from any other ethnic group, they'll be brutalised and humiliated while being mocked for belonging to those tribes. If they're Banyankole, they'll be beaten up and dehumanised while being interrogated on what they're doing supporting a Muganda. One of our lawyers, Kakuru Tumusiime, recently recounted how he was tortured, being asked how a munyakole lawyer could represent me - a Muganda. Imagine the backwardness! This is a dark truth that we must confront. This tribal hatred is being spewed by someone his father gifted with heading our nation's military. You can imagine how he views soldiers who come from the diverse regions of our country. Of course this perception is reflected in promotions, deployments, opportunities to study abroad, etc. I am very pleased that the Government of Rwanda through its Spokesperson has come out to distance themselves from this barbaric madness. They know too well from their own painful history, the catastrophic destination where state-sponsored ethnic bigotry leads a nation. Unfortunately, you won't hear any condemnation coming from the officials in Uganda because they all know that this tribal supremacy is the true, unmasked identity of the bloody regime they serve. I call on the people of Uganda to remain united because a people united will always defeat regimes built on sectarianism - however ferocious they may seem.

I keep saying it, the impunity we are accepting and some are cheering will swallow all of us. At first we thought if you don’t support NUP or Kizza Besigye you are safe. Now it is even working for an in-law they never accepted or if you’re a “one-minute man” or if you are short or if you are ugly or if you behave like a muhutu.. it’s a week since Matthew Bagonza, the head of secretariat at the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID), which is headed by Odrek Rwabwogo, was abducted. His whereabouts remain unknown, hasn’t been produced in any court or allowed access by his family or lawyers!
