The strange exhaustion of forcing yourself to eat after a day that took everything out of you.

I’ve been going to my father’s doctors appointment with him for the last year or so, he’s got early onset Parkinson’s - I take notes on everything, I record the entire appointment, i ask for copies of the recorded visit & charts, I am constantly speaking up about side effects of the medication he’s been prescribed, asking for lower doses, different variations. These fucking doctors will try to take advantage of you and shoo you out of the room after two seconds. Especially if you’re Black and elderly. As a community we have to get more vigilant about saying point blank, I feel like you are dismissing everything I am saying and not providing quality care I would like a copy of my chart and this visit please, so they know you are also keeping a record. And then get on Google, zocdoc, healthgrsdes, vitals, ratemd, and get to rating these fuck ass doctors!
