I called it a while back: Carney is manufacturing a crisis with Trump and a trade war with America so he can blame Canada’s economic and social problems on Trump, whereas these problems have been a decade in the making under Liberal rule.
Turns out the Premier of British Columbia is doing the same thing.
@Dave_Eby just called a snap provincial election.
In his speech, he ironically compares Trump to the wildfires that raged out of control in Canada and hurt Americans…
And he references Trump nearly 2 dozen times.
A provincial Premier.

Due process has already been established! The administration has the power!
SCOTUS already settled this. Houchins v. KQED (1978): the First Amendment is not a FOIA. The press has no constitutional right to collect information from the government or enter places under its control.
Pell and Zemel v. Rusk are even clearer: no special press access beyond the public, and “entry into the White House is not a First Amendment right.”

Whenever I post something political, I get a flood of comments saying they're disappointed in me.
But I'm not doing it because I want to insult or look down on anyone.
I look at what is happening in parts of Europe with immigration and Muslim communities, and I'm genuinely terrified that Japan could face similar problems next.
Americans may feel strong and confident that it could never happen to their country. But Europeans probably once felt just as confident.
I don't want us to underestimate the risks and realize what we've lost only after our peace and sense of security are gone.
I want people to recognize those risks and stand together before that happens.
That's really all I'm trying to say.
