Old fashioned oats are steamed before they're rolled. A dry oat groat is hard, and rolling it without softening it first would crack it instead of flattening it. The mill takes the hulls off, heats the oats, steams them soft and presses them flat between heavy rollers. Then the flakes are dried so they keep on the shelf. Quick oats go through the same steps but get cut into smaller pieces and rolled thinner, so they cook faster. The heat also shuts off an enzyme in the oat that would otherwise turn its oil rancid, which is why a canister keeps for months. Nothing's added to them, and the ingredient list on Quaker Old Fashioned is whole grain rolled oats.

One of the most compelling parts about working at an ElonCo was the agility to pivot to whatever the most important problem was. One day I said: I wasn’t hired to go after spam, but a tsunami is coming and I’m going to drop everything to focus on that. The org is so flat and agile that your title is basically meaningless. Anyone can sound the alarm about a problem and solve it themselves—or rally the team to join them. This is how startups work but it’s very hard to make it work in a larger company.

Hey ATX Mayor @KirkPWatson, you gonna apologize now for your press conference where you jumped the gun and called out ICE before you had all the facts? You are a sleazy, lying, gaslighting politician who exploits situations for political gain 🖕
#BREAKING | The man who an ICE officer shot in Austin may have hit an ICE agent with his vehicle while trying to flee, according to a criminal complaint filed by DHS. kxan.com/investigations/fede… @GraceReaderTV

When getting pregnant is a social media stunt to avoid prison time...
People might find it crazy that even though I’m facing 17 years in prison, I made the decision to get pregnant. But, at the end of the day, this is something I couldn’t let be consumed by this administration. I refuse to let them take my joy or my future.

NEW FOOTAGE FROM WILBER PEREZ ICE PURSUIT: An Austin security company just sent me exclusive surveillance footage of DHS pursuing Wilber Perez, the illegal Venezuelan who was shot by an ICE officer. New footage shows two DHS vehicles flashing their lights and blaring their sirens as they pursue Perez, who is speeding down the street in an attempt to flee. Perez initially stated that, “An SUV rode next to him and tried to hit him” stating that he thought it was, “an aggressive driver”. He then stated that ICE officials did NOT ask him to stop or turn on ANY lights or sirens until AFTER they had sideswiped him. This newly obtained footage appears to show that emergency lights and sirens had been activated while Perez fled. It also looks like the vehicle has zero damage at this point. This footage is from Sunday, Sept 20th at 12:45pm, right before the shooting occurred. Wilber Perez, an illegal alien from Venezuela, had a final order for removal and was in the country illegally ,which is why DHS was originally pursuing him. He is currently in federal custody at an ICE processing facility in South Texas. Thank you to ATX local @Fabius_USA for sending me this footage.

Six years ago, The Washington Post said that Atlantic hurricanes seasons are going to become much worse due to global warming. Stronger storms, especially near the coast. Hyperactive years like 2020 was said to be a “harbinger of the future.” Last week, The Washington Post reported that the lack of hurricanes in the Atlantic this year is also potentially because of global warming. Climate change has become a convenient scapegoat for climastrologists blame everything that happens with the weather on. They can't ever be wrong.

🚨WOW!!!! A Tesla owner and dad was arrested at GUNPOINT in his own driveway and charged with a FELONY for "fleeing" a police officer he never saw. 2 years later, he just BEAT THE WHOLE THING... ...because his Tesla was recording the entire drive. ❤️ His name is Kevin Finley, in Winter Springs, Florida. He'd just dropped his kids off at school and was driving home when he passed a car sitting in a median and figured it was broken down or about to make a U-turn. It was an unmarked police car. An officer went after him. Finley says he never saw a single light and never heard a siren. The Tesla footage showed the patrol car's emergency lights were visible for only a BRIEF moment... before curves in the road and buildings blocked that unmarked car from view entirely. So Finley drove home! He pulled into his garage and then he heard sirens outside. So he did what an innocent man does. He OPENED his garage door to see what was going on. ...and found guns pointed at his face. His words: "This is, argumentatively, a simple traffic violation. And now I have a gun in my face and I'm arrested in my driveway and my neighbors are watching." He told them over and over that he never saw them, that he wasn't running from anybody. The officer can be heard saying: "I dunno if I'm gonna hit him with the felony side of flee and elude, or I'm going to hit him with all the traffic infractions." They went with the felony. Felony fleeing and eluding + criminal reckless driving. In Finley's words: "These are all very serious charges. Fleeing the police is a felony." And then this father spent NEARLY TWO YEARS with that hanging over his head. Two years of lawyers. Two years of a felony charge on his record for anyone to see. Two years of wondering if he was going to prison over a traffic stop he never knew was happening. Then he finally got to play the video. The judge didn't even send it to a jury. He acquitted him on the spot.

Remember how eagerly the press swallowed stories about how Twitter was going to crash after Elon bought it? How could they have believed that someone who could run rocket and car companies couldn't run a forum?

I built a Photoshop-like image editor. It’s called Compositor. robbietilton.com/compositor I originally built it for myself to get off my Adobe subscription, but decided to release it for free and make it open source. It has all the essential tools I need for compositing, with none of the BS. I know this workflow is kind of archaic in 2026, but I’m still using it until AI can actually get pixel-perfect on some of the details. The entire app is 12MB. Photoshop is 6,455MB on my machine.

🚨BREAKING: Judge extends secrecy of the Lindsay Clancy juror list. The original impoundment order was set for two weeks. Today, September 14, Judge William Sullivan extended it until further order of the court. The judge cited a “real and present risk” of harm to jurors, intense social-media attention, jurors being identified without permission, and the arrest of an individual accused of secretly recording jurors leaving court. The order also reveals that at least one juror asked for the list to remain SEALED INDEFINITELY. Some jurors have chosen to speak publicly, but the court says the majority of jurors and alternates have remained anonymous despite multiple media requests. The order does not prevent any juror from voluntarily identifying themselves or speaking publicly.

Juries aren’t supposed to use their verdicts to effect “change” Verdicts are supposed to dispassionately reflect legal truth
During her next media tour stop, juror Paula Devlin says the mostly female jury knew the Lindsay Clancy trial could create change to “make it better for other women.” “We knew that this was a turning point, and this would be something that could change something to make it better for other women…”

🚨#BREAKING: A TV station is now digging through the PRIVATE LIFE of the lone, Black male HOLDOUT JUROR from the Lindsay Clancy trial... publicizing his divorce, his family disputes, even his eviction... ...because he refused to acquit Lindsay Clancy!!!! Yes, they are TEARING HIS PRIVATE LIFE APART for this, but have done ZERO investigating on the private lives of the OTHER jurors. One man, after a week of deliberation, would not sign off on a verdict he didn't believe in and that (by the way) is the WHOLE POINT of a jury. We literally instruct jurors: do not cave. Who is ever going to hold out EVER AGAIN???!!!! Who's going to risk being the one honest "no" when they know the punishment is having their entire life ripped open on the news?!!!! They are literally attempting to DESTROY the jury system with fear. A verdict you disagree with is not a crime and a citizen who does his duty should not have his life destroyed for it. This is absolutely insane.
