Just wrapped up Building the Rails, an intimate, invite-only roundtable
@monad hosted at Web3 Festival Hong Kong
We brought together industry key players and Monad stakeholders across the full RWA stack for a real, no-fluff discussion on how to actually build and scale real-world financial rails for RWA and institutional payments in Asia. Not another high-level talk, we went deep into the practical mechanics: how settlement, distribution, yield, and capital layers can truly connect and operate together
Opening remarks by Monad Foundation Co-founder & GM
@0x_eunice set a sharp tone:
1. Why Hong Kong stands out as a global hub for asset management and cross-border capital flows
2. Recent regulatory progress on RWA frameworks and stablecoins - The real gaps in payments, distribution, and infrastructure
3. How Monad is uniquely positioned as a high-performance execution layer to support the next generation of scalable institutional financial infra
The roundtable then dove into four core questions:
a. Where is real RWA and institutional payment adoption actually happening today (moving from pilots to production)?
b. What are the biggest bottlenecks to scaling — especially cross-layer fragmentation and coordination challenges?
c. How should infrastructure evolve from “asset tokenization” to building repeatable, end-to-end financial flows?
d. What are the most critical bottlenecks we need to solve in the next 12–24 months?
Special thanks to every panelist who brought sharp, grounded insights (in no particular order):
