I've not used plan mode in a long, long time.
You don't need a mode to iterate in software design phases; just chat. Still... how we shape, align on, and review work has plenty of room for innovation.

we’re thinking of killing plan mode and using the shift+tab hotkey to adjust effort levels
I don’t think the models need plan mode anymore, but if you’re a plan mode diehard would love to get your feedback on why

- Annotate Agent Messages (e.g. grill sessions)
- Annotate Files (e.g. plans, specs, etc)
- Create a native feedback loop with agents
- Open as popover or pane
- Mouse or keybindings
Human in the loop. All in the terminal.

If you're using wayfinder from @mattpocockuk, pair it with herdr-annotate from @plannotator for the grilling sessions. Highlight what you want to comment on, send the whole batch back in one go. Way better than scrolling up and down.

dang! @plannotator firing on all cylinders.
this specific workflow is one that’s always annoyed me: agent responds with slightly larger output and i had multiple specific things to say to that response.
i have to keep scrolling back and forth, responding individually.
pi’s recent tui full screen mode helped a lot, with the editor and footer pinned at the bottom but you were still bound by your screen display dimensions (too narrow and you went back into the scroll dance).
the other way to solve this was using an extension like rpiv-ask-user-question, but even that felt a little restrictive.
but this annotator type workflow from within the terminal feels like it’ll beat em all. got to also say @herdrdev is like the gift that keeps on giving.

for plans specifically, i have a mac app i sometimes use to annotate anything on any screen (ie terminal).
