@PokketCoach just got a huge update overnight 🎉 For those of you who’ve ever experienced me talking to you 1:1: or with your team, where I teach you new skills, or work with you to fix a problem, talking with Pokket now acts and sounds exactly like it would if you were talking to me (but for a fraction of the cost).

For my American friends who think they can’t possibly cope with the wildlife in Australia… “If I had a dollar for every huntsman spider I’ve removed from my house this year, I’d have $2, but it’s crazy to me it happened two times”

This one is only a baby. I try not to think about where the adult ones are, but I’m thankful I’m brave enough to move them outside myself. There’s no way I’ll sleep if I know one is in my house, so it just has to go!

The players and coaches who build real careers do the work the other ninety-nine percent avoid. Dedication, mental training, reflection, sacrifice. Coach that work ethic openly and you attract the players who want it.

george washington really crossed a river, fought the british, and then decided the biggest threat to america was the english language. “we’ll call it a dozen, but only for 12. hamburger has no ham. buffalo wings have no buffalo. and nobody is allowed to ask what’s in a hot dog.” bro founded a country and immediately made a language-learning app necessary.

O VALORANT saiu e eu apaixonei-me pelo jogo. 💚

Off season/trialing cheat sheet I don’t have opportunities for trials ❌ - What were your expectations before this year? Did you have actionable goals and an improvement plan? Were you able to stick to the aforementioned plan and did you have a support system integrated into this? - What is your reputation amongst your peers and other coaches? If you are genuinely unsure then you should reach out and ask people how you are viewed. This may or may not provide information as to why you are not receiving the opportunities you expected. Ask players, coaches, casters and/or managers. - Can you point towards deliberate attempts at improving areas that are known weaknesses (agent pool, style of play, comms, professionalism, public image) - Are you prepared for the off season? If it’s easy to contact you? Do you have representation? Do you have all your vods ready to be shared that highlight your skill, comms, flexibility etc? - Do you have reputable referrals from teammates and coaches etc? I have opportunities for trials ✅🎟️ - How do you feel about trialing? Do you feel like you shouldn’t have to? Do you feel like you deserve to be trialing for better team? This is one of the biggest performance nerfs that I’ve seen (entitlement). - What are your expectations going into the trial? How are you going to approach it? Is there an element you are specifically looking to showcase? (Mechanics, comms, teamwork, flexibility). Does this match what the team is looking for? - How good is your current routine with respect to setting yourself up for success? Are you able to create an environment that brings out your best self? (Energy management, scheduling, arousal (inverted U theory) - How good are your interviewing skills? Is this something you practice and do you consider what coaches and general managers are looking for? Are you confident in being able to provide attributions for successes and failures from your previous projects? - Do you have questions prepared to ask prior to your trial to better understand; 1. what they will assess your performance on 2. What they are looking to see in you specifically (their reason for bringing you in) 3. Post trials: any feedback from coaches or GMs that they can give you that provides extra insights for their decision.

🎙️ Leo Faria on how long the new VCT format will last: "We're committed to listening, seeing what fans think, seeing how teams and pros are experiencing the sport. And if it doesn't work, we're going to make changes. So, how long is it going to last? I don't know. If it works, we're going to keep doing. If it doesn't, we're going to pivot, right?"
