When @Rhynotic was working on FWAir launch improvements, I suggested allowing backers to back above the set backing amount. He agreed it was a decent enough idea to include it in V2. What I didn't expect was for @DesLucrece and @daemons404 to actually gameify reveal using time in pool, which benefits higher backing.
Anyway the FWAir game theory is awesome, and it helps reward both believers in a collection as well as the artists themselves as they can potentially receive more "primary sale" fees from higher backing
