There is an urgent need to address corruption and crude oil theft. There are many ways the government can provide effective subsidies without necessarily spending huge amounts of public funds. If we can significantly reduce corruption and crude oil theft while investing in critical infrastructure such as reliable electricity, improved security, better roads, and an efficient rail transportation system for the movement of petroleum products and gas, the overall cost of production and distribution will come down drastically. Rather than relying solely on direct subsidies, addressing these structural challenges would reduce operational costs, improve efficiency, minimize losses, and ultimately make petroleum products more affordable for consumers. There are so many ways to prioritize and subsidize the basic needs of Nigerians without spending a dime on direct petrol subsidies. Two truths can coexist at the same time. A new Nigeria is POssible with Peter Obi presidency and Nigeria will be OK ✌️
After writing this post above, I heard you this morning defending the return of subsidy Mazi. This just shows that youre a fraud. All of you obidiots are fraudsters. A disgrace to your family

My Visit to the Nigerian Air Force Facility Further to my message yesterday, I visited the Nigerian Air Force facility in Abuja today to formally sign the condolence register following the unfortunate aircraft crash. The visit gave me another opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made daily by the men and women of our Armed Forces and other security agencies in the line of duty. These courageous Nigerians put their lives on the line to defend our nation and protect our people. We must never take their service and sacrifice for granted. I extend my deepest condolences to the Nigerian Air Force and to the families, colleagues, and loved ones of those who lost their lives. May God grant eternal rest to the departed and give their families the strength and fortitude to bear this painful loss. May God continue to protect all those who serve our country. -PO

Happy World Teachers’ Day! Today, October 5, I join the global community in celebrating our teachers on World Teachers’ Day. Teachers belong to one of the most important professions in any society. They are not merely imparting knowledge; they are shaping minds, nurturing character, and preparing the next generation of citizens, professionals, and leaders. The quality of our teachers will, to a great extent, determine the quality of our human capital and, ultimately, the future of our nation. I salute our teachers for their resilience, dedication, and immense sacrifices, often made under difficult socio-economic conditions. We must do more to improve their welfare, ensure the prompt payment of their salaries, provide conducive working environments, and equip them with the tools required to teach effectively. The dignity of the teaching profession must be restored. Nigeria cannot successfully address the challenges of out-of-school children, unemployment, poverty, and underdevelopment without making deliberate and sustained investments in education. Education must therefore receive greater priority in our national planning and budgeting, with teachers and educational infrastructure receiving the attention they deserve. To every Nigerian teacher, I thank you for your service and for continuing to build our nation, one child at a time. Please remain steadfast and hopeful. The Nigeria we all desire is possible, and building it begins with investing in our people. With improved education, a new Nigeria that will be okay if possible. Happy World Teachers’ Day! -PO

Ebonyi must break free from the political grip of the Umahi dynasty. The state is not a family inheritance, and its political destiny must never be controlled by one family. Ebonyi deserves freedom, democracy, and leadership chosen by the people, not political domination driven by selfish and personal interests. A new Nigeria is POssible, where the child of nobody can become somebody without knowing anyone. Nigeria will be OK ✌️

Anambra state have 177 communities. Take note.
There are more than 1000 communities in Anambra state that didn't have primary schools during Peter Obi tenure as a governor and he couldn't build one for them but to buy generator for those already have is more important when the population of Anambra is increasing daily

THIS IS WHAT INVESTING IN EDUCATION LOOKS LIKE. 🎓 Under Peter Obi’s administration, Anambra’s secondary schools received investments that delivered: 💻 Technology — Microsoft connectivity, laptops, printers & internet access. ⚡ Power — hundreds of generators to support learning and ICT facilities. 🔬 Science — upgraded laboratories and libraries across hundreds of schools. 💧 Water — boreholes to improve access to clean water. 🏥 Healthcare — sick bays to support students’ welfare. He equipped the schools, empowered the students, and built the future. A new Nigeria is POssible. Nigeria will be OK ✌️
What part of Anambra did Obi transform? Onitsha, Awka,Oba,Umunze, Nnewi? He bought 12 seater buses for schools and built playing ground at Onitsha North LGA headquarters 🤣 Obi is an Igbo project that will fail woefully in January

Abduction of 20 Youth Corps Members: Insecurity Must Not Be a Norm The abduction of approximately 20 prospective NYSC members travelling to their orientation camp is yet another distressing indication of the worsening insecurity in our country. These young Nigerians were preparing to serve their nation, but they were unable to travel safely on our roads. Families are increasingly burdened by the fear that their loved ones could fall victim to kidnapping. Protecting lives and property is the government’s foremost responsibility. We cannot continue to regard insecurity as an ordinary occurrence or act only after people’s lives have been disrupted. I call for the immediate and safe rescue of all the abducted corps members and the arrest of those responsible. Nigeria must become a country where young people can travel, work, and serve their nation without fear. -PO

This is a clear sign of woeful failure. Why are APC members threatening ordinary Nigerians with guns, violence, and war? Is this what leadership has been reduced to? Intimidation instead of governance? @PoliceNG @OfficialDSSNG

Peter Obi represents a credible alternative, and his growing support is unsettling to those invested in the status quo Some mischievous elements are deliberately trying to turn innocent Nigerians against one another after taking away their opportunities and future. Don’t fall for the divide and rule trap. Let’s be clear, this is not about ethnicity, tribe, or state of origin. The real issues are due process, institutional independence, accountability, and respect for the rule of law. Nigeria belongs to all of us. We cannot allow propaganda and politics of division to pit citizens against one another while fundamental questions about our institutions remain unanswered. Don’t let them divide us. Don’t let ethnicity and religion distract us. Demand institutions that work for ordinary Nigerians, not systems designed to protect an old order. Nigeria is bigger than any individual, group, or state. A new Nigeria is POssible and Nigeria will be OK ✌️

An idle mind is the devil’s workshop. We must empower our people through quality education, skills development, and meaningful opportunities to become self-reliant and contribute to our economy. The people of Ebonyi are hardworking and resilient. What they need is government support to unlock their potential and build better lives. Let us unite, participate actively, demand accountability, and insist on leadership that puts citizens first. Together, we can build the Nigeria of our dreams. The essence of government is to plan, invest, and care for the people. Politicians think about the next election, while leaders think about the next generation. As Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi pursued economic diversification and made investments aimed at creating additional and sustainable sources of revenue for the state. Beyond the state’s existing internally generated revenue (IGR) and federal allocations, his administration invested ₦4.4 billion, directly and indirectly, in the Orient Petroleum project and that investment helped build investor confidence and contributed to the eventual commissioning of the facility. On August 30, 2012, President Goodluck Jonathan visited Anambra State and commissioned the Orient Petroleum facilitiesn and confirm Anambra as an oil-producing state. Anambra subsequently began receiving 13% derivation revenue from oil production. Peter Obi also left behind a substantial foreign-currency investment portfolio. His 2014 handover records put the portfolio at about $156 million. These funds were invested in financial instruments rather than simply kept as idle cash. Obi later said the investments generate approximately $10 million annually for the state. The broader lesson is that good governance should not be limited to spending government revenue. It should also involve saving, investing, diversifying the economy, and creating sustainable sources of income that can benefit future generations. A new Nigeria is POssible with Peter Obi and Nigeria will be OK ✌️
