Hey @Highcharts, you claim to offer your software under @creativecommons CC-BY-NC, but you say on your website that this license is not applicable to government websites, which CC defines as noncommercial So do you offer CC-BY-NC under CC terms or not?

Excited to share that our work has been published in Nature! Our RL agent generates chip layouts in just a few hours, whereas human experts can take months. These superhuman AI-generated layouts were used in Google's latest AI accelerator (TPU-v5)! nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

Brainworms. We seriously need FOSS firewalls against memetic contagion. The idea of rational, intelligent people having any sort of inherent immunity just doesn't hold up anymore.

One of the reasons I love @LightBurnLaser, they saw they were all these cheap great Chinese lasercutters on the market and saw an opportunity in the nightmare CorelDraw dongles manufacturers expected you to use with them. Now we need that for Chinese CNC and robot arms.

Most of the productivity discourse seems to be about top-down planning Most how we think and talk about project management is in that paradigm too My focus is on bottom up project management: Breaking things down into ever smaller pieces - then exploring how they fit together

its almost like not everything works through a profit motive or though our current VC funded startup infrastructure
Replying to @ericweinstein
If I have one frustration with my tech colleagues it is that they tend to see the world through the lens of tech businesses. Every new idea: a startup. Every artwork: content. Every composer or artist: a creator. Every discovery: IP. So far this view hasn’t been successful.

woah. just had time today to review Australia's report on adtech (222 pages!) - hands-down the best report I've ever seen on adtech complex - creates an overwhelmingly clear picture of the problem. Hint in this image of a monopoly participating in all sides of the market. /1
