I remember the first time I broke a rule.
Nothing bad happened.
No one got hurt. No one was in danger. I just did
something I had been told not to do.
What surprised me was how guilty I felt.
Not because I had done something wrong, but because I had been taught that breaking the rule itself was wrong.
That moment stayed with me.
It made me question how many rules I had followed simply because I was afraid to question them.
That’s when I learned:
Some rules are there to protect you.
Others are there to control you.
And the hardest part is learning the difference.
