Cases were pre-rehearsed for a visiting MP to make the service look competent. Hundreds of thousands of decisions may have been wrong. Nothing changed. FOS decides 73% of cases in favour of financial institutions. Its own published uphold rate is 30%. Warwick University puts the real figure at 24%. 163,393 cases are currently sitting in backlog while FOS holds £173.6m in cash and earned £9.4m in interest last year. Their own banker is Lloyds Bank, one of the firms they are supposed to judge independently. This is in their own Annual Report presented to Parliament. A dying man missed a FOS deadline. His family explained why. FOS rejected the claim anyway. I submitted forensic evidence of document fabrication. Three files created within 83 minutes, proven by metadata.
