For years I had conversations on here with an academic arguing for racial hierarchies. Now that person has dropped any pretense of scholarly thought. I don't believe in debate culture, but sometimes the winner of a social debate is very clear.

I can't say I have any grand departing messages. I love you all. That hasn't changed in spite of everything I've seen. I definitely still hate some ideologies and what they aim to do, but my love for my brothers and sisters remain steadfast. Be well my friends.

There are certain people that despite extensive documentation of history and ideology, simply refuse to grant the right-wing agency. It's not like social conservatives have always opposed gay marriage, it's that left-wing activists are causing them to now oppose it. 🤦🏾‍♂️

To be fair, there is a difference between explaining how support for marriage equality is being eroded because of LGBTQ activism and defending the repeal of marriage equality because LGBTQ activists are going too far. I understand the former, but troubled by the latter.

Marriage equality is still very popular with the population at large. It's not "eroding" popular support driving right-wing pushes to repeal gay marriage. It's not LGBTQ activism causing those who oppose marriage equality to push to undo it.
